My wife and I were taken advantage at the Oroville Ford ******************* Ive emailed the general manager ************ twice with no response. Here are the sequence of events for our 2016 **** Edge: On 3/24/22, my wife took the vehicle to Oroville Ford because the check engine light had come on. They said transmission needed to be replaced. We were charged $316.00 for the diagnosis. On 3/31/22, we dropped the vehicle off and picked it up on 5/5/22. We were charged $5743.27 for the transmission. The vehicle now had and a knocking sound in the front end. My wife called and a follow up appointment was scheduled on 6/2/22. They stated the rattle was coming from a lower engine cover. They tightened it and claimed the knocking noise was gone. She was charged $9.60 for hex nuts they said were stripped. Why were they stripped? We never had any work performed in that area prior to Oroville Ford replacing the transmission. On 6/2/22, my wife picked up the vehicle and the knocking was still there. She called Oroville Ford and made another appointment for 6/20/22. They told my wife the knocking noise was coming from the shocks/struts and they needed to be replaced. They gave her an estimate for $1100.00 and she charged $158.00 for the diagnostic. On 6/22/22, we took the vehicle to ******************* to get an estimate to replace the shocks/struts. They inspected them and said they did not need to be replaced. On 6/22/22, I called ************ to make an appointment to see if they could find the knocking noise since Oroville Ford was unable to. ************ discovered the knocking noise was coming from a loose sway bar under the front end of the vehicle. We were charged $210.00 to fix it. The sway bar had been removed by Oroville Ford when they replaced the transmission and they failed to reinstall it properly. We request a refund for the following: $9.60 (Hex Nuts), $158.00 (Diagnostic Fee (6/20/22)), $210.00 (Diagnostic ********** Bar Fix (7/27/22)) for a total of $377.60
