      Dealing with sterling assets has been the worst experience EVER!! You have to make all appointments online and there is no way to speak to a representative if you have questions or concerns. I had to wait a week to get my items from my car. In fact, I was not allowed to do it myself. They open your car without your permission, go though all personal items and throw your items in a large paper bag. From there they get to decide (on their own) what does or doesnt get to be disposed. Once they brought my items I went through everything. They stole $2,000 from my black bag, my daughters iPad was wet and no longer works, brand new items that were purchased from ******* are missing, all of my paper documents including car registration are soaked and torn. Im not sure why my items are wet. This is just to name a few. I have both the police and the lean holder for my vehicle doing an investigation because items being stolen seems to be a reoccurring situation people have to deal with as if getting your car repoed isnt hard enough.

      My car was repossessed in May of 22 lets see where do I begin with my negative experience with these foolish imbeciles . They stared with hooking up my car the wrong way which I demanded they drop it and tow it the correct way or they will end up ruining my transmission .. are these 2 repo agents dumb dumbs new on the job?? What a joke. Of course they start with the strong arm tactics of demanding I give them my key fob or else they are going to report me to the finance company that Im being uncooperative which will result with higher fees etc.. I know I screwed up and this is why Im in this situation. Of course they decide to leave and drag my car I knew without a doubt that my transmission will be ruined.. I wasnt even able to grab anything from my car that was valuable because I knew they were going to steal it. Without waisting any time I typed up my inventory list for my belongings I have in my car sent it to them and my bank . But wait theres more!! I wasnt able to retrieve my car back until after 4 weeks due to the fact that they made up this story how I made threats against them and threw rocks and stuff at them so they feared for dear life.. lol what a complete joke this business is.. Im 59 and weigh about 145. These two dudes were over 6feet and weigh over 300lbs and they feared me??? Yes you guys stole all valuables, watch , cologne drills impact gun lose change amplifiers w6 subs air pods just to name a few.. oh yeah I almost forgot they ruined my transmission.. I have proof of everything. So be ready because Im coming in hot..

      My car was repossessed February 24, 2023 which was a Friday so I had to wait until Monday February 27th, 2023 to locate my vehicle. Sterling Asset Recovery in Sun Valley, ** is where my car ended up. After calling the number listed online there is no way to speak to a representative, therefore you can only email to set an appointment up. My appointment was set for Friday March 3rd, 2023. I was notified the day before my appointment confirming and was told to bring my ID, $75 cash(not sure what that was for but felt like fraud) and the vehicle key. They brought my belongings out in a large storage paper bag and I had no way of digging and verifying if all of my belongings were inside until I got home. Well I was unfortunately missing my $400 ***** sunglasses, window visors and another pair of sunglasses, *********** $200, I will be filing a police report. Ive read the previous reviews and note that this place has been stealing from people without any penalty. Please be advised that I will get to the bottom of this matter. This is not how you treat people and think youll get away with it.

      I was robbed for 300 dollars worth of meds. My ptsd meds,high blood pressure meds...as a vet I depended on these things. since nobody wants to identify him urndriver and I can't even put his driver number lmaof.. got sticky fingers and is the reason the better business bureal knows about this incident ,is the reason there is a police report and I'm still looking to see who else I can take action besides small claims which im.doing as I type...unbelievable ..who the **** are u guys to treat people like **** ..**** this non honorable piece of **** company..

      Very Unprofessional and protected thievesthat work for Streling Assest Recovery, I had this pleasure of dealing these repo thieves and that sure got one on me. It was bad enough that you have to call then to be told that appoints are only scheduled online. Then you never receive a confirmation of the appointment that you scheduled. So I wrote a polite and professional email inquiring if they received my appointment and the email they sent was a sentence long say a rep will contact you today. Okay so got the confirmation literally the day before that said to bring my id in order to get my stuff. So I show up early and of course they acted like I am making it inconvenient for them for letting know I was early for my personal belongings. They made me sign the form first before bring out my stuff so that they can say I received it all which is bs. After signing I even said so where is my bag of brand new dog food. He started we had to throw that out. Along with any flammable, liquids, and food which a lie. I get back to my house already salty from that bs and started to go through what they handed me and I missing the dog food, monster headphones, and pair of men's jeans. So since I signed before they would give me my stuff they will say, "Since you signed for it then you got all your stuff." I have my receipt for my dog food that I bought 30 minutes before the repo occurred. I am not at all salty about the repo just my stuff being blatantly stolen and then you have to sign papers before you can even get your stuff before you can go through. I think that is what is protecting. Not even the police department makes you sign first they go through it then make you sign so this thing would not happen. I hope to never have to deal with this place every again and to all those thieves that work for Sterling Assest Recovery, Karma will come back on for all the wrong you have done to me and all the others that I have read that experienced the same thing.

      Why is bad that appointments are scheduled online? The bank should have advised you of this so not sure why you're mad at us for having an online appointment system that can be accessed 24hrs a day instead of phone calls only during office hours. You say you never receive a confirmation but you did get a call the day prior to your appointment giving you all the details you needed. In other words, you did get a confirmation some 24 hours in advance of your appointment. The form you signed had a list of your property inventory on it for your review. People refuse to sign all the time. Per CA law we do not store food, perishables, liquids, chemicals, combustibles or anything that might be a health hazard, so dog food is definitely not stored - so what part of that is a lie? There is no record of headphones being in the vehicle and there were multiple bags of clothes - we don't itemize each piece of clothing and whatever clothes were in the car were returned to you. So by her own account, we provided an easy and efficient way to request an appointment and we served her on time. We also returned her belongings and vehicle save for the items we are required to dispose of and for that we are called unprofessional and thieves. She hopes to never have to deal with our company again. Good news: there is one way to ensure that.

      So are you make a threat in the last sentence?
      I am not playing your head games. I have saved all communications between me and your company and I had to reach out in email to make sure that my appointment was received and after that email is when someone finally reach out to confirm.
      So tell me if by CA laws that you are suppose to get rid of all liquids, food, and flameables, that I found my aerosol can of Microban that was dumped in to the brown bag.
      Tell me this when stuff is been inventoried is there others around to verify all those items?
      When your yard worked handed me a tablet there was inventory shown on there. So where is this paper with all items?
      I was sharing my experience of what happened to me and you respond back all threatening with words especially that last sentence and that is Unprofessional in so many ways.

      **** ******** owner of this company, License has been suspended. How you operating still. As owner my own company you will be getting a bill for damages caused by your inexperienced drivers. Now I have replace my transmission front transfer case and rear differential. You can't hide or run you screwed over way too many people for too long. We are gonna see you "Court" I mean.
      This company opened up shop in my city now we are gonna kindly remove from kern county

      I called the phone number shown for this company. I had a hard time to speak with a representative, first of all. The recording does not even provide an option to speak with a representative. So I just pressed any any option. Miraculously someone answered the call. Secondly, the representative told me that they do not have the vehicle . They told me to call a local police station. The phone number that she gave me was a some financial company's number. I called her again. That time some other representative answered my call and told me to call a local policed station. These representatives were very rude. They sounded like they did not want to help or even speak to me. "it is your fault and your problem. So go find out which police station knows which company impounded your car. It is not our business. Do not waste my time !" This is the impression I received from the very short conversation with the representatives or workers in this company. They did not have to be hostile. It does not cost them anything to be nice and courteous over the phone.

      If I could give them less than one star, I would. They took over 400 dollars worth of items from my car. When I called to get information as to how to file a complaint they hung up on me! Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful people. They don't deserve to be in any line of business. They're worse than thieves. Organized crime ring.

      They stole my emergency cash from my car and I reported it immediately, before I even reclaimed my car. I was provided a complaint email address, and have sent multiple emails and have not received a response in over a week. One can't leave a voice message for the LA office and they do not answer the phone, so there is no way to reach anyone.

      This claim is false on multiple levels. The customer emailed us on Nov 30 at 2:03pm alleging she is missing $70 that was in her cup holder. We responded at 2:58pm (less than an hour later) that our records showed that there was $61 in cash in the vehicle and that was notated on the inventory form that she signed and the money was returned to her. On Dec 3 she emailed again claiming we had not responded to her original email. Again, we replied back later that same day that we had in fact responded and we included the response again for her to see. That's the last we heard from the customer. So there was cash in the car, it was $61 and it was returned to her and we responded to her original complaint with this information in less than one hour after receiving her email. Not sure there's a better response than what we did.
