I'm a licensed General Contractor. Recently I took on a major home remodel job that was already in progress. The homeowner had hired Power by Tim prior to my introduction to the job. The house had been completely gutted and drywall was removed. Power by Tim had already installed a new service panel box and had run new wiring in the garage as well as the house. The work was sloppy, unprofessional, and was not completely code compliant. I had the homeowner contact *** and we met at the job site. When I began to show *** the issues *** immediately was insulted and refused to talk to me, the general contractor of the job. He was nasty and refused to even look at the electrical issues. As he was storming away to his truck to leave, I told him he needed to take care of his customer the homeowner. He told me to leave a written note of the issues and that he would be back the next day to take care of the issues. As per his request, I left a detailed note as well as post-it notes in the problem areas. Unfortunately, the homeowner was unable to get *** to return to the job to fix ***** electrical issues. *** was already paid in full for the work and he did not return to fix the electrical issues. The homeowner ended up hiring a different electrical contractor to fix Power by Tim's electrical work. The new service panel box breakers, that ***** electricians installed, were not completely labeled. Romex wires were not stapled per code requirements. When Romex wires were pulled through drilled holes in framing members the wire sheathing was torn exposing wires. 30-amp breakers supplied the bathroom outlets which were wired with 12-gauge wire. Also, the garage was wired with 12-gauge wire but were on a 30-amp circuit. By code a 30-amp breaker must be wired with 10-gauge wire not 12-gauge wire. 12-gauge wire is not rated to carry a 30-amp load. The electrical work done at that job site was far from quality work. His warranty is useless if he doesn't return.
