On March 13, we sent notice to cancel membership to The Arena, which is a gym in *********. We were told that in order to cancel, we would need to send a notice to a ** BOX in ******** in order to cancel the membership. Once that was done and the company in ******** informed The Arena that they received the cancelation, then the membership would continue for ANOTHER thirty days. So, despite giving The Arena notice directly that I wanted to cancel, I was still charged another month dues on March 18, and could possibly be charged another month even though I canceled on March 13. As a student, it took me a few days to send the note to the ** BOX. I also took it directly to the post office so that I could get a return receipt. It is possible that the notice was received in ******** after March 18, which means they could charge me again on April 18. That's two months of charges after canceling my membership, which is on a month to month membership.
