I was scammed out of $49 by the ************************************ location. I purchased a running arm band for a cell phone and then one year later get hit with an automatic $49.99 membership fee. It was the only time I was ever in that store. I never consented to a membership and it wasn't even mentioned to me. It took a long time to finally speak with an operator at Road Runner. She said they would cancel the membership and refund my money, but there was no apology offered and she acted like I must have signed up for it. This is a complete scam and fraud. Avoid them at all costs.Review from C. S

We bought a pair of running shoes in 2021. Without knowing we were signed up for the VIP club. Also without our consent we have been charged yearly $69.99. Surprisingly, we were charged a recurrent charge to our debit account from an expired debit card for this membership. We managed to have our bank block the most recent transaction and we were able to get a refund for this year's attempt. We called Road Runner and were on hold for 2 hours with no response. This is a scam, Road Runner, does not send you a receipt or inform you of these charges and freely signs you up to this "reward" system. I highly suggest and encourage people to shop elsewhere. I hope that with all of these complaints, there will be a formal investigation to stop this business from taking financial gain from non-consenting customers through predatory tactics.Review from mark n

Roadrunner created a new account using a fake email address and charged for an annual renewal without my consent using my wifes credit card number. This has been an ongoing issue for several years using several credit cards and several fake accounts.Review from Betsy R

The company kept canceling my orders and despite calling several times to inquire about the reason, I was never told why until today when I was informed that there was an Apple Pay failure and since they shipped the shoes (which I never received) they would cancel all my orders past June of 2022. I had placed successful orders since then so that wasnt truthful. The customer service associate claimed I had been contacted many times about this. I looked back at all my emails from them and never once was I notified. The times I called about orders they stated Apple Pay failure which to me just meant they didnt take Apple Pay and so I paid with a credit card after that. Road Runner Sports never informed me that there was a charge for being a member nor was there any indication anywhere that I was to be charged and I noticed it only when the charge appeared on my CC. When I tried to call to cancel, I was on hold for 56 minutes before getting to a **** who then refunded the charge but this is a total scam and they have lost any future business from meReview from Donna M

I've been buying shoes from them for over 40 years. The last couple of years the service has been horrendous and very and frustrating. No one ever answers the phone when you have an order. I've been waiting 2 days to get a call back back on an order. They have also messed up my account on several occasions and they still can't get it right. It may cost a few dollars more but I might as well order shoes from Amazon. I used to recommend them to all my running friends over the past 40 years, but never againReview from Jill Marie V

Do not join their *** program - you will never be able to cancel it or reach anyone in customer service to assist you. Its a total scam - you can't return anything unless you join the *** program. When you agree to join the *** program (for an additional fee) the sales person says you can cancel at anytime and get a refund. In order for this to happen you have to actually speak with a customer representative, but you will not be able to EVER get anyone on the phone. I have been trying for two-weeks to get a hold of someone with no success. I might try on shoes at RoadRunner Sports, but I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. Clearly owned and operated by a family who doesn't care.Review from Mel E.

Road Runner Sports renewed my VIP membership without first sending an email notifying me of this renewal. My credit card company flagged it as fraud, and since I never received an email, I declined the charge and my credit card company canceled my credit card. What a hassle! I was without a credit card while they sent new cards. Here's where it gets worse.....So rather than contact me that the charge was declined, Road Runner Sports scanned my Purchase History, found a debit card I had used for a purchase last year, and then charged the renewal fee to that credit card without my authorization or any email warning me that they were going to make this charge. I had to call the corporate office to get the charge removed. How dare they use any credit card I had used to purchase sneakers there to pay for a $99.99 annual renewal without my approval? No other company does this. Very shady. It's obvious their business plan relies desperately on this supposed "VIP" fee in order to stay in business.Review from Michael G

Roadrunner Sports makes it a practice to take orders for inventory they do not have on hand and have no plan to receive. I recently ordered a pair of Asics Superblast 2 running shoes. They took the order on July 10, 2024, and then they turned around and canceled it on July 14, 2024. I asked why they were canceling the order they indicated that they did not have inventory and had no idea when they would be able to fulfill the order in the future. They misrepresented their ability to fulfill an order for a product, but they were happy to charge my credit card for the sale even though they did not have the inventory to fulfill the order. They were happy to charge my credit card with a preauthorization hold but did not immediately cancel the hold when they canceled the order. I had to call them to get the cancellation on my credit card, which they stated would not occur for 3-5 days.Review from Cassie T

I too was scammed with a VIP membership that I did not even know I signed up for!! Avoid this site. They are not transparent.
