I signed a contract with Filmways Pictures to write a screenplay and pitch that screenplay to producers. My contract expires in March of 2023. So far, Filmways has not reached out to me with an update on my service. More importantly, there phone number has been disconnected and all of the people I had been corresponding with via email have email addresses that are no longer active. This has been going on for a couple of months now and I have been unable to get a hold of anyone and nobody has reached out to me. I am beginning to think this company is fake and this whole situation is nothing more than a scam.Initial Complaint

'I was contacted by filmways pictures approximately 1 year ago, claiming that they could help me to get my book made into a screenplay ready to show to Hollywood Producer's for a new movie or television mini-series'. All for the price of $4,000.00 to produce the screenplay and a movie Trailer that showed what my movie would or could look like .They did have me work back and forth with a screenplay writer, that kept making and changing my story line as a counterterrorism action novel story. 'Now there is no more communications with the agent, *********************, nor the assistant ****'? They have even blocked my telephone number and email from calling them to follow up on any progress with the supposed 23 movie producer's that they invited to review my screenplay? 'I want other's to know not to use this scam company that attempts to ruin your dream of success and the money provided up front'! Thank you and please make this company feel some heat for their negligent ,criminal actions that will have consequences in this life or the next'!
