I have already filed a complaint with this company so please refer to this. Coverhound was preventing me from cancelling my coverage with them. My new insurance provider *************************** at State Farm sent original cancellation declarations page on 07/21/21. **** had to send over multiple cancellation requests to the company. They claimed "they did not have a fax machine". As my new insurance provider **** said he had never seen such shady business practices during his time as an insurance representative. Myself and **** had to call multiple times and I was only able to reach an actual person on the phone after I filed my first Better Business Bureau complaint. Coverhound dragged their feet until 08/09/2021 until another billing cycle until they would cancel my policy. They did cancel at this point on 08/09/2021 and I have email stating that the docusign was complete on this date. They said that I would be getting a refund and I did not owe them any money, but now they claim I owe them $122. I filed a complaint with my bank at that time to stop payment of the $122 as this is absolutely not a valid charge. Coverhound has voicemail recordings of this interaction as well. Please contact ************ to contact my State Farm representative, I would love to send over emails as well, they paint quite the picture in addition to my summary above. My credit has decreased since this has happened and I have an email from *****************************, ************************************* a collection agency. Should I report them as well? The fact that they would do business with a company like this is troubling. I want my credit score changed, this debt to be clean and for this company to go out of business. This is unacceptable practice and the fact that I have to go through a complaint again is frustrating to say the least. I am looking at buying a car soon as I just graduating with my doctorate in physical therapy. I need this resolved ASAP so I can do that.

I am rejecting this response because:

Unfortunately I submitted documentation immediately back to Coverhound, the delay past the August 4th date was on your end. Additionally, your recording on the 9th should confirm when I asked "Will I be charged anymore?" Coverhound representative responded with no at that time. Therefore, I believe your justification is not correct. I am happy to send over emails showing that but you should have that recording from that time.

Second: I imagine if you thought I owed you money that I would have gotten monthly or two times a month correspondence saying I owed money. It is now late November so saying that "you made every effort to reach me" is incorrect and my credit score has since suffered. Please get rid of $122 charge and more important than the money is a credit score correction.

      Sincerely,

      *************************
