      Ive had amazing experience with Sunrun. Its been a great company. I got my system installed two years ago. I received nothing but credits from my energy bill, and home have been saving thousands of dollars recently year.

      What do I think ??? Well for starters Dont use SunRun.. worst customer service ever. For starters we decided to get more panels and battery .. well got the batteries and panels put up . I got an sdge bill and it was over 700 dollars . I called sunrun and apparently the workers who put the new sustem in turned off the old panels and never turned them back on.. called and called finally got ahold of a case manager but he said they couldnt reimburse us for any sdge funds even though it was their workers who messed up. They gave us a 100 credit on the sunrun bill which is 175 monthly for old system.. well got the old system turned back on and low and behold the new system wasnt turned on at time of installation.. another call and advised once again their workers didnt turn it on.. got that turned on but now they said they wont hook our old system up to the battery.. we have been calling for 3 months straight and no one will help is or get a refund on our sdge bill as it was their fault.. we are now paying 2 payments one for 175 and the other 115 to sunrun plus sdge.. we are paying more now than if we did before without the second system.. also they told us not to turn grid why not if battery can be used in evening. Please SunRun you really have to do some thing for it has been a nightmare . I wish we used someone else ..

      The company is an absolute nightmare. I have never dealt with such poor customer service in my life. All I get from Sunrun is a run around and have had no resolve from them. I'm currently 6 months in and no help. My system started tripping the breaker back in the beginning of May of this year 2024. I called Sunrun to have my system looked at, the put me on the schedule 3 Weeks for June 7, 2024. When the technician came to look at the system he said, "Your system was just looked at. We're gonna have to return with another technician one that has far more experience than I do. I will send out to the schedulers ****. That way we know what to bring we might actually need to rewire the sub panel and bring new breakers all pictures have been taken." Then another technician comes on June 24, 2024 and he tells me he is not equipped to deal with it. Then again they came out on August 26, 2024 said same thing not equipped to deal with this and told us to turn only two breakers to see if this trip the breaker, which it did 30 minutes later. I was supposed to receive a call from my Case Manager ****** ******** to schedule another service call which never happened. I contacted customer care and would always get the same answer you case manager with reach out to you in ***** hours and never heard from him. Then I decided to stop paying Sunrun because I was on the power purchase agreement and in my contact it states I pay for production. I received calls daily to collect the payment and told them once I receive the service I need I will gladly pay. Called costumer care weekly same script your case manager will call you in ***** hours. This had been the same for 6 months, then I found out last week since I built a pool Sunrun opened another the case on me, case manager for that ****** **** stating that I was in breech of contract for building a pool and not allowing them to book a service appointment. Now they say I owe them for the whole system $234,687.14. ******! SO FRUSRATED

      My Solar Panel stopped producing power on March 15th of 2024. After repeatedly contact Sunrun via chat and phone they are unable to turn on the panels. They keep give excuses like not having working solar panel in the inventory. It's Oct 14th 2024 today. A solar company does not have solar panel or can't get solar panel for over 7 months is scary.Highly recommended "DON'T" go with Sunrun for your power needs.

      We've been PTOed (producing) for just over a year. Beginning in the quoting process we noticed red flags with SunRun, Freedom Forever, and Solar Pros; however, we talked ourselves out of those because of our importance and value of having a solar system. Furthermore, when we asked certain questions, verbal answers provided make things sound legitimate. Nevertheless, beginning on May 10, 2024 our system began underperforming . We made multiple calls to Sunrun and Freedom Forever to get the issue resolved and it took over three months for them to discover and replace a malfunctioning inverter on August 21, 2024. When we originally opened the *** with Sunrun we were instructed to call back after the system was fully operational because they could then issue a credit on the "Performance ********" On August 22, 2024 We spoke with the case manager and they were going to submit paperwork for a $700.00 credit; however, after multiple unanswered follow-up attempts we found out today that our contract actually does not provide for a Performance ******** and only offered a credit of $150.00 (just about 21% of the original credit of $700.00). I asked for the case to be escalated multiple times and the customer service representative refused and indicated that due to our contract they did not have to actually do anything. Be aware of the customer service issues with these companies and completely read the contract before entering into an agreement with them. Now we are locked into a contract for the next 25 years that does not cover or provide the promises we were told it does. These companies operate independently of each other; however, each are part of where we ended up. We want to prevent others from ending up where we did. DO NOT GO WITH SUNRUN, FREEDOM FOREVER, or SOLAR PROs they will work to get you business but only to backpaddle on the promises they offer at the time of the contract/system install. At that point ITS TO LATE!

      Davi Alvarez, the SunRun salesman approached me about solar. We had a number of discussions but could not move forward because of my high balance with National Grid. In a text, which I have saved, Davi said "I'll take care of that for you" he also made the call and paid over the phone in front of me. Solar installation cannot go live unless the National Grid balance is paid. Once installation was completed, the payment to National Grid was reversed. I contacted Davi and got the runaround. He showed me the payment receipt and I showed him the National Grid statement showing the reversal as well as the call I made confirming it. I got a lot of push back and run around and told to make the payment! until escalating it. At that point they had me put on a payment plan. That is not what SunRun agreed to. FIX IT!

      Our family moved into our Bowie home in 2017. We Inherited the solar panels that are now on the roof. Sadly, our experience has been the worst! Vivint, now called Sunrun, told us we would save lots of money during the Summer and Winter months with their solar panels, but we feel we have been taken advantage of! We pay our electric bill twice monthly: one to Sunrun and another to BG&E. We called many times and complained but to no avail. In 2021, We got a new roof installed. Before installing the roof, not only did it take them forever to un-install their panels, but they promised us that the panels would be placed somewhere safe but instead they placed the panels on our garage floor. Mind you it only took the roof guys a day and a half to install the roof. It took them weeks to reinstall their panels on the roof. You can only imagine how dirty the panels were. What got me is that they did a poor job installing the panels and did not clean them. I remember them laughing at me in the background after calling them so many times for them to do their part. Around that time, they had to come around to reconnect the panels because they did not connect them properly. This past Summer, 2024, we needed to replace our siding, Fortunately, the Roof guy noticed that the panels were not properly set and asked us if we were paying the bill. We called Sunrun to disconnect the panels so we could install the new siding and also to check why the panels were not properly set. The Sunrun Guy told us not only were the panels not properly arranged, but We also had a damaged part that needed to be replaced, and here we go again waiting for them to disconnect the panels. We got our new roof installed in August. It is now October, and no one at Sunrun called to give us a date on when they will provide the new part to reconnect the panels. The panels are still disconnected, and we are still being billed and making monthly payments! We do not know what else to do!

      We bought our house about 3 years ago with the Sunrun system already installed (about 20 panels).The system worked for maybe 6 months then stopped working and hasn’t worked since. Sunrun has been asking us to pay the monthly bill of 200 plus dollars a month for a system that hasn’t worked for almost 3 years. We are currently working with them to get new panels but it’s been 3 years of back and forth talking to dozens of employees. And after all of this we received a letter from collectors on the behalf of Sunrun, demanding for $21,000. This can’t be right, please help

      WORST customer service EVER! We had a *** to our house in May of 2023 saying everything great about Sunrun and we asked multiple times if we can get them removed at any time because we didn't know how long we would be in this house and he said YES! We have to get our roof ***laced due to hail damage and holes that the Sunrun installers left when they put in the panels. We have been trying to get them to come and take down the panels for MONTHS with no ***lies. We get told they will call us back and never do. Finally today we asked to just get them removed because we are done dealing with this and we are told we cannot. So the sails *** straight up LIED to our faces when we asked MULTIPLE times if we can remove them at any time with no extra cost. When we stated this the employee on the phone asked if we had any proof of the *** saying that to us..Like we would record the conversation in our home..We asked if we can get the *** on the phone so he can say what he told us and they said that is not possible...Why can't they just take reasonability for their actions!? They put holes in our roof! they lied to us! They do whatever they want in order to scam people into installing these on their houses!. 3.6 stars out of 5 for customer ratings is being kind. They should be shut down for this slimy behavior.

      If I could give a negative star it would be a minus 10. Other than sales, nobody knows how to answer or return a phone call. It's been 2 months so far after my site survey to have my panels removed so I can replace my roof and I've only talked to them twice and had to jump through hoops to get those two calls. I'm looking at my contract to see if I can break it due to their lack of response and action.
