      The websites membership fees are very expensive. At the time, I had a free membership that didn't have any of the benefits of a paid membership. I was about to close my account with them when their customer service convinced me to not cancel my account and a discount promotion was going to be released soon. I waited and when they offered a discount, I thought I could try it out and if it didn't work, I could cancel my membership within 30 days and get a refund. So on December 8th I paid for one of the lower tier memberships. I auditioned for spots over 100 times and got nowhere so I asked about cancelling. I was told that memberships that received discounts were not eligible for the 30 day refund policy. Which is misleading because they mention how if the customer is unsatisfied they can get a refund on the website.

      As mentioned in the complaint, ****** paid for the membership with a discount, and our public refunds policy says that memberships paid with a discount are non-refundable *****************************************************************************************************;

      I am rejecting this response because: it is not clearly stated on the website that this is the policy. It should be clearly stated before getting membership.

      Sincerely,

      When a Voice actor pays for a membership with a promo, they see a message in the upgrade order before confirming the payment that says that the plans acquired with a discounted price or during a promotion are not refundable, as you can see in the image attached. It's also public in our terms and conditions, where you can find the link to our refunds policy *****************************************************

      Let me know if you need me to provide more information.

      I am rejecting this response because: that statement did not appear on my screen when I placed my order or I would have reconsidered my purchase. Furthermore, since objecting to this membership scam, the number of auditions sent to me has significantly been reduced or are poor matches to what I can do. This could be considered retaliatory. I am asking one more time for a refund and cancellation of my membership. In these tight economic times, I do not wish to continue on with my membership with a company that is not providing me leads.

      Sincerely,

      I signed up for a membership with Voice123 last year but since I didn't use it, I decided not to renew. This morning they debited my account for another year's membership. I went to the website to cancel my subscription, assuming that I hadn't read the fine print about an automatic renewal. Nowhere on their website is the option to cancel a subscription, nor is there any option to view which payment method you're using, nor any way to cancel future payments. There also isn't anything that tell you your account will be auto-debited, nor was there any notification, e-mail or otherwise, that this would happen.

      I have been a member of Voice123 for less than a year. I downgraded my membership to a $99 per year membership because I wanted to receive less project invites. Voice123 advertises an estimate of 79 project invites per month at the $99 level - which they claim is adjusted every two weeks to accurately estimate the approximate number of project invites you could expect at a level of PAID membership. After two weeks of $99 membership, I have received one invitation (which was not a general invite - it was a client invite). The Voice123 rep ********* admitted in writing to me that I have so far received ****% LESS INVITES (SEVENTY EIGHT HUNDRED PERCENT) than is ADVERTISED as an estimate. Crispin has defended by saying "you were used to receiving lots more invitations because your last membership was much higher and this was a drastical downgrade." So does that mean that lower tier paid memberships have incorrect advertising and higher tier memberships have true advertising? I'm not sure it that's what it means or not - but it is certainly the end result I am experiencing. Nobody should ever receive SEVENTY EIGHT HUNDRED PERCENT less invites than an advertised estimate - for a PAID membership of ANYTHING. My first instinct was to reach out to the *************** of ******** Affairs or the *** regarding truth in advertising - however I decided to reach out to the Better Business Bureau about this first to hopefully reach a settlement on this issue. My settlement request involves:A) A SERIOUS look at what is being advertised and what is being given for paid memberships to this website and a significant effort to more accurately represent what a paid membership level's estimate is. (no estimate or approximation in advertising can be ****% wrong, EVER. B) I would like a complimentary upgrade for one or two years to what Voice123 calls the "standard" level of membership - while the company hopefully works on part A of my request simultaneously

      The algorithms that powers the Voice123 invitations-engine looks for matching voice actors and start inviting the most relevant ones to the project. The order in which invitations are sent is determined by the percentage of the voice actor proposals liked by clients and their membership plan. ***** currently has a Bottom 10% ranking score; this could be why the number of invitations he receives has decreased. Being selective when submitting a proposal for a project is key to maintaining a high percentage of liked proposals, therefore, increasing the chance of receiving more invitations.

      Voice123 shares that members at the plan with a $99 membership can receive UP to 79 invitations per month. Voice123 can offer a discount to upgrade his account; however, this wont make a big difference with his low ranking score.  We invite him to reach out to us again to complete a full review of his audios and offer suggestions on how to improve his profile; this will increase his chance of having a better experience.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      This does not address legitimate truth in advertising for a paid membership being ****% incorrect in its estimated value. Even if my ranking is in the bottom ten percent, if ranking counted for a voice actors entire valid and payment counted for nothing at all -  the estimate would be adjusted to 7.9 invitations per month which is nearly 800% off from Voice123s advertising.  I am rejecting this and will be filing a request today for an investigation from the ******************* of ******** Affairs.
