Date of the transaction:7/25/2023 Total amount disputed for refund: $32000.00 Setting/build the Pergo roof - LOUVERED ROOF- Aluminum - Tiltable 13 Ft x 14 F with 14 ft fixed glass wall and LED Perimeter Lights at my home backyard. The timeline promised is 4-6 weeks lead time and installation 6-8 days ON 7/25/2023.Pergoroof never came back with any of the product readiness not delivered the product for installation and set up. After 100s of calls, we get one response saying they are working on it but after that no response or no communication. Its been 9 months without any communication or installation of the product. 'The Pergo roof never tried to resolve the problem.Initial Complaint

In March of last year (2023), my wife and I contracted Pergo Roof to construct a sunroom on our existing deck. After visiting their showroom in downtown ******* and discussing our requirements, we were convinced of their expertise and subsequently entered into a contract with them on March 31st, 2023.As per the agreement, we were advised that a 75% upfront payment, amounting to $57,750, would expedite the construction process. Trusting their assurance, we complied. Shortly thereafter, technicians from Pergo Roof visited our residence to take necessary measurements, and we were promised an installation timeline of 14 to 16 weeks.Regrettably, the situation has not progressed as promised. After the initial 14-week period, we were informed of minor delays. However, this delay has now extended to nearly ten months, with no significant advancement in the project. Despite numerous attempts to communicate with the sales representative, the head of sales in **********, and even the owner of Pergo Roof, our concerns have been met with infrequent and unproductive responses. On the rare occasions we do receive a reply, it typically involves vague assurances or blaming the ******19 pandemic for the delays.Upon further investigation, I discovered that our experience is not an isolated incident but rather a pattern of behavior by Pergo Roof, involving a lack of communication and unfulfilled commitments.I am seeking the intervention of the Better Business Bureau to resolve this matter. It is not just the financial loss that is disheartening but also the trust we placed in Pergo Roof. We wish to share our experience publicly to caution potential customers about the company's business practices.I appreciate the Better Business Bureau's assistance in this matter and hope for a prompt and fair resolution.Thank you for your attention to this issue.Initial Complaint

May 2022: We contracted Pergoroof to do a Glassroof installation in our atrium. Our project manager was *****************. Based on the contract terms, we paid 70% of the cost, $8890 on May 26th. Our check was cashed by Pergoroof and the funds were transferred. The contract stated that the production time would be 14 - 16 weeks, making the installation time late September to early October. June 1st 2022: ***************** came by the home to take additional measurements. This was the last time we saw or heard from ****. For months, we did not hear back from anyone at Pergoroof. We reached out several times, but customer service did not provide any help. They only said they would "forward the message to our project manager". They refused to provide us any other contacts. November 2022: We receive an invoice from Pergoroof requesting the full amount ($12,000) be paid. Not only was the 70% already paid not shown, but the contract itself stated that the remaining 30% would be paid after installation. We replied several times to the email address ************************************* and received no answer.??Finally in January 2023, a new account manager answered my email and promised to take care of my concerns. Then he went quiet, for weeks. Eventually after another call he promised that they would have a project schedule to me in a few days. That conversation happened in March of 2023. Now, at the end of March, I still have not heard back from them.I am deeply concerned that Pergoroof has stolen our money. At this point I do not trust them to get the work scheduled, much less done.Initial Complaint

Today is 2/25/2023. I Paid 70% Deposit, $15,846.00 on 10/1/2022. Paid via personal check. Was promised the job would be installed within ***** weeks. At this point, seeing all the very recent ***************************** reviews with a similar situation (paid deposit and no work done, just excuses and delays) I want a refund of my deposit. Looks like the business is going to go bankrupt. The owner, ****** is not responding to my calls, texts and emails. He asked that I call his partner, ****** who also does not respond at all. As a licensed General Contractor myself, this is a horrible business practice. I also don't see their names or business listed as a licensed contractor in **********. They are keeping customer funds and not responding with updates and not completing the contract as agreed. I am seeking resolution by the return of my deposit.Initial Complaint

Original Date of transaction was ***** '22. I requested an outdoor roof for my backyard.I paid $40k deposit for the product and installation.They were committed to providing me an outdoor patio.They did not deliver/install the product, they avoided me for 8 months and now wont refund me my money.They refunded me 70% of my money, and are delaying the rest.Account under: *****************, they know me by now, we have a 1 year relationship of me asking & asking & asking. I had a Pergoroof retractable awning installed. I was promised it would be sealed and completely leak poof. So far I have had to call them back 3 times to fix leaks and it is still not resolved. They do not return phone calls nor do they respond. I want this fixed and a refund for a very poor job. This is the 2nd time I have had to file a complaint about them. Signed a contract with Pergoroof to have them install a pergola in our back yard and get necessary permits from the city. They don't respond to me in a timely manner (via text, email, or phone), if at all. There is a HUGE delay in the permit process. The city provided comments to the application on 2022-09-14 and Pergoroof did not reply fully until 2022-12-10. All of the above is after taking a 70% down payment for this contracted work.Initial Complaint

TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION & COMPANY!!! THEY TOOK OUR $9K DEPOSIT AND WE HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM SINCE! On March 23rd, 2022, We placed an order for an according door. They asked for an extremely large deposit that was 70% of the total cost! We thought the amount was excessive but we really liked the door so we paid it. They told us that normally the doors are made sooner but because of supply chains and the door coming from Turkey it wouldn't be available until July or August. We decided to do it anyways. In August we received a call from them saying that our door was delayed and won't be coming in until "late September or late October" because of delays with production. We were upset that we had to wait but understood. Then in November we still hadn't heard back from them!!! We found out later that most of their employees have quit because they didn't like the having all these unfulfilled order and constantly being yelled at by customers! There's only 1 person working their now! Every time we call it's always the same person! And she has no authority in the company. The project manager, Ivan had quit. And when I asked who the new project manager is they have no answer for me. The admin always says she will leave a message for the owner **************** but they never get back to you! Apparently he's never in the office and always traveling to Turkey while taking no accountability for this business. It's now December 2022! I think this company is going out of business! They have no communication!!! And they still have our $9,000 Deposit!!! We are close to sueing them and reporting them! Do not work with this company! They are stealing deposits!Initial Complaint

We signed the contract with Pergoroof on 05/02/2022 and made the first payment of $53,613.00 the next day. It's been over 6 months and our permit is still not approved. City asked Pergoroof to provide the Zip Screen fire resistant certificate and the Louver Roof product testing certificate but Pergoroof could not provide the required documents, so my project is stuck there. For the past several weeks I tried to contact the project manager via email, text and phone calls, but there is no response AT ALL!
