We rented a room and right away the lady ran out saying no guests no visitors. Very rude. Then we go to take a shower there is no hot water so we tell her and she said it would be fixed we come back still no hot water so day 2 no hot water. Day three she tells us she will LL et us use a different room with hot water to shower so this whole time there were rooms with hot water. I asked f ok r a refund and she hung up.Initial Complaint

On 4/16 I booked a ********* Hotel.booking. Using the websites I booked 2 rooms- one night at North Bay Inn Hotel. Upon arrival at the property my kids were screaming and didnt want to come in as the property is dark and sketchy. I made cancellation via booking.com. When I use booking. Com it said free cancellation anytime. Around 10:10pm when my family already checked in another hotel near by I received a call from North Bay Inn, the lady rudely told me that I cannot cancel my roomss reservation and that I will be charged. I told her Booking.com promised a free cancellation anytime and that what was I did. I was fully charged for the rooms even when I didnt stay there. Im requesting a full refund.Business response

This is the Northbay Inn responding to the complaint filed. The guest had made a reservation for two rooms on April 16, to check in on the same date.
The front desk called to ask what time they will be checking in, as we do so for all guests arriving on the day of check-in.
Thats when the guest said she was not going to come and would like to cancel this reservation. Guest was aware of cancellation policy and Hotel representative reminded her of the cancellation policy again.
Guest was upset when she was told about the charges and said she would contact BBB about this.
As per Hotel policy, we were holding the two rooms for the guest and only when we called at that time she said she would like to cancel.
Our cancellation policy is also stated on all of the booking websites.
