After submitting a cancellation request on May 8th, 2024, for the program once I realized I would be unable to participate, the refund for my program fee was denied on May 25th. Once I reviewed the reasons given for the lack of refund, I submitted a cancellation appeal request on May 25th, which lead to CI emailing me a form to fill out and mail to an address in ************, ********** for review. I mailed this form out on May 28th, but after returning from a week long trip I came back to find that the letter I had mailed to City Internships had come back to me with the message 'return to sender, vacant, unable to forward'. All subsequent attempts to contact employees of the company have failed and I have received no correspondence about how to continue forward with the appeal process.Initial Complaint

**************** promised to find an in person **** internship************************************* **************************** for the summer of 2022. For this service we paid **************** $5225. By June 23 they had not found a suitable internship and there was insufficient time remaining to find one. Consequently they agreed to refund our program fees ($5225) as promised in their terms of service. We provided them with payment information on June 27th, and contacted them again two weeks later since we had not received a refund. Since then we have reached out several times by phone and email but our messages have gone unanswered. We have attached as supporting information the original invoice, evidence that the invoice was paid, the email chain indicating a refund was agreed to and subsequent emails inquiring about the status of the refund.Business response

The refund was sent via check at the time that it was agreed but we did not receive notification that it had been deposited. After contacting the consumer regarding the status of their deposit, they notified us that they had been having issues with their mail and had not received the refund. Upon learning this, we have reissued and resent the refund check and it will be with the consumer imminently. Please see document attached for email exchange between us and the consumer which confirms this timeline.
