My rear view mirror fell off inside my car and needed to be reapplied on. I have a 2013 ******* Accent. I went to the ******* dealership in ******************, I also asked if they charge for it to be re-applied. They told me that if it needs to be replaced it would most likely charge, but if it just needs to be re-applied, they said it may not. They later referred me to a glass auto repair shop that is contracted with them, named Class Auto Glass, and said to tell them that "******* referred you and tell them you just need your rear view mirror reapplied." When I arrived at Class Auto Glass and told them about my predicament one of the workers assisted me by applying glue to my rear view mirror and placing it back in its correct position. This operation took about 7 minutes.Afterwards, the man told me that it would be $75. I asked again cause I was sure I heard him wrong, no way did 7 minutes take $75? That would mean he would be charging me about $10.71 a minute, which is completely unacceptable. I told him how that is unreasonable and his response was ************** has charges." I believe he took advantage of me because he knew I was a young woman who looked like I did not have experience with cars before. I kept combatting and even asked for a discount or coupon and he said they "Originally charge around $125 and they are already giving me a discount" which I believe is completely false. In order to exit the situation, I just paid and left, but I am filing this complaint because that is not okay. When I asked, "Why didn't you say the price? This feels like a scam", all he did was shrug his shoulders and stuck out the card reader. He used my rear view mirror, applied glue, and stuck it on. No extra parts were used. The operation took 7 minutes. He charged me $75. This is unacceptable and I wouldn't want them doing this to anyone else, especially taking advantage of other's finances in a way that is just unreasonable.
