I missed my appointments due to my sleepiness of my medications. It was not safe for me to leave me home due to my sleepiness. They forced me to pay $20 in order to continue my treatment. They never gave me excercises to do at home, at the end of my visit. I was so upset over the $20 charge, that I was telling the other patients what they have done. They discontinued my treatment. They discontinued my visits. They forced me to leave the building and threatened to call law enforcement on me.Business response

*************** registered a complaint with the BBB and *************** to this.
*************** has alleged that "I missed my appointments due to my sleepiness of my medications. They forced me to leave the building and threatened to call law enforcement on me."
We have the legal obligation to protect all health information, so I will try to respond to the complaint with that in mind. *************** was informed of all protocols in place at the time of initial patient registration. On the said date she stated that she "did not care for those protocols" even if it had an impact on other patients of the practice who are on a long waitlist for much needed appointment slots. She proceeded to be very rude, aggressive, intimidating and abusive to our care coordinators and support staff. She then demonstrated the same behavior to our administrator and treating clinician. After her treatment session she continued with the behavior disrupting and frightening patients, caregivers and interpreters, so we then requested her to leave the clinic. She made threatening statements and gestures to our clinician, staff and all the people in the vicinity and stepped outside the door. Outside the clinic she proceeded to yell and intimidate patients entering and leaving the clinic, so we called the non-emergency number for UCPD and informed them. She then continued to pace the parking lot and show obscene gestures to all the people inside our clinic. She continued with this behavior for about 40mins and then had a car come pick her up. Her referring physician and insurance have been informed of the incident.
