Not certain what's going on with this organization. Hire quickly, info given for mandatory tests, onboarding tasks daily reminders, once completed, no communication. I reached out to my assigned liason on several occasions only to be informed that "they" were waiting to schedule a Zoom meeting. A month after I was hired no Zoom meeting, no assignments. A complete waste of time. Reading what they've done to clients is criminal. Yikes!

My child started writing an essay for the $500 scholarship Hey Tutor offers. I had a question about it and emailed them and the email came back undeliverable. That was my first clue. Then I tried calling them and the message doesn't even say "leave a message after the beep", there's just a beep and I was like what is that about? Second clue. On their website it says they are on ******** so I searched for them and there's nothing. Last straw. I'm going to contact the scholarship website I found Hey Tutor's scholarship offer on and will tell them they should take it down as the scholarship doesn't exist. Shame on you Hey Tutor!

They are terrible for getting in touch. I had used them for a couple of years and when I wanted to stop, I emailed the info at heytutor.com*** as they say to do, and no one responds. I also tried to call the number at the bottom of the invoice, and all I got was a man who just said "hello." Then they charge you in advance, and I cannot get the refund on the balance that is left. This is a terrible, terrible business.Left one star because I could not use zero stars.

This company is scamming schools out of necessary funding by utilizing undertrained staff, slapped together nonsense for curriculum (which has not even been proof-read for errors, as I had to make a number of corrections and changes) and absolutely zero communication skills. One star is three too many, I feel like HeyTutor actually owes the public 2 stars of service because of how bad and disorganized their company is. Untrained, unlicensed people are going to schools and being used as teachers for the "bottom 1%" of their students, and tutors are forced to basically bend over backwards for the schools by doing things outside their pay grade like grading the assignments and even bringing teachers their mail. If the teachers could have given me access to their gradebooks I think they would have been making me put them in myself.None of the curriculum is actually approved or vetted through anything and seemed to have been made by one person who is not even remotely proficient at writing or creating age appropriate work for students. Forcing 6th grade students to spend days working on summarizing each stanza in a FIFTEEN stanza poem is bad enough, but then using that same poem for five more different packets is just ridiculous. They recycle the same stories with different worksheets attached, and the kids get bored VERY quickly. This program is not nearly as good or put together as half a dozen other tutoring and teaching programs I have seen (while working at HeyTutor).I was forced to use paper copies of the work because none of the students knew how to operate or log in to the website, which is the opposite of what I was told in my forty-five minutes of not even bare minimum training. Actually, everything I had been told in training had been a lie, from my set hours to dress code to having a head tutor at the school.I WAS basically the head tutor for the school I was assigned as I trained other tutors but received no compensation for the extra work.SCAM!

Is I could give a 0 star rating I would. Got disqualified because of my background and they never paid me for HOURS of training I did.

Very bad company, it is a fraud. Don't give them your credit card in any case. They took my credit card information and charged me every month for $240 even though I signed up for only 1 month. They never send any invoice or any email for following months but charge the card every month. When I called them for these charges, the guy is very rude and arrogant, he never listened to what I have to say. I never used any services for following months yet I was charged for $240 for 8 months. Beware, he will never email you a link for payment but ask for credit card information. It is a scam... don't fall for it.

This company has been a let down from the day I set foot on site. They lack the infrastructure to properly pay their tutors on time. It's been a nightmare and unfortunately the kids we tutor suffer because of the huge turnover in employees. However, the CEO's are probably not giving 2 licks of a damn about any of this because they are still getting paid.

Worst experience .. they keep on charge account with no service. When asked for refund or call back. They don't even respond properly. This is fake tutoring service.

If I could give a zero star I would. Payed 2,500 in advance for a tutor. The tutor backed out last minute of our 15 week course. Hey tutor said they would try and find someone for us. I had a deadline to find some 2 weeks after my deadline they will no longer answer my phone calls. I had to go a different route and find my own tutor. I asked for my money back becuase I didnt get the service. They said no we have a 30 day refund policy. I said you gave me a tutor that never showed up. Falsley letting the time pass ** not give me the money back. When disputed with our credit card. They came back to last (XXXX) years services not this (XXXX) years. Which is the year we are trying to get back.
