I was promised career services and access to their alumni pass if I needed/wanted to work on certain skills. I graduated from coding dojo Nov. of 2022 and haven't had any luck with job placements. Before I said yes to joining coding dojo they had told me that I would be able to find a Tech job in no time and if i didn't they would help me along the way... So far I was helped with a career service tech once and since left me on read with me resume. I hate the fact that I feel lied to and now stuck with a loan that keeps me struggling to make a living with. All in all... Coding Dojo gave a bunch of False advertisements and should reimburse everyone for their time and money spent.Coding Dojo Response

I would give 0 stars if possible. I completed this program in *********************************** the industry (web development). There were statistics on their website and multiple other sources stating that over 80% of their graduates acquire a job in the tech industry within 6 months. That is very misleading and they prey on people that are desperate to improve their livelihood. I was pressured by sales people to make a ***** decision on attending Coding Dojo. They encourage people to take out loans for a very expensive program for an extremely weak curriculum that absolutely does not get you "job ready." The lessons were outdated and most of this information that they teach can be found for free online. You create a simple CRUD application over and over. Most of the instructors were not very knowledgeable and would just rush through the "lessons". They also struggled answering questions that students had. Recently, they have redone their career services department which was supposed to be offered for life to all of their graduates. It has been moved to the **** Network" which is barely functional and they have blocked all alumni from communicating through their Discord server which was a place where alumni had access to speak with other alumni and help each other. None of this was made clear to the graduates of this program and it was not clear how to get in touch with a CSM after these changes. This is an absolute scam and I would avoid all of their programs.Coding Dojo Response

NEARLY 20K IN DEBT BECAUSE OF THIS SCAM !!!! I completed the cyber security program last year (2023), not only the curriculum felt rushed an poorly put together, the instructors themselves weren't up to par neither. Projects were very poorly put together and with very little supporting documentation. We would be reading a chapter on a topic and *************** following the reading would usually be something completely unrelated. There were giving ADVANCED labs like malware analysis(which the instructor suggested we skip) and buffer overflow with ZERO to no preparation. We were left to figure out A LOT on our own, thank god for the TA's, the only good thing about this program. To make matters worse, they lied about their job placement rate, the cyber security program is a couple years old and literally I've only heard of TWO students saying they got jobs. This is a company that was boasting a 80+ RELEVANT JOB placement rate. Then how come only TWO students have spoken up about getting jobs ? the other part they must be considering are the TA's, who are previous graduates from the ** program. Their career service is also a joke, just a glorified resume editing service, nothing else. COMPLETE SCAM !!!Coding Dojo Response

Don't fall for their scam. I graduated from their software development program in 2023. Their curriculum was grabbed from free online sources, they lied about the graduated rates and the placement rates. They lied about helping you get a job as well. All the career service managers ever did was provide you with an excel sheet listing links of job sites and resources that any one can find by googling it themselves. Anyone that could not find a job that ended up freelancing on fiverr or volunteering and working for free was counted as "hired" and "successful" in Coding Dojo's eyes. All my instructors were previous students of theirs that hadn't found a job yet. All our TA's were also previous graduates from which only 1/3 of them were actually any good to help with problems that came up, however, none of them were good when it came to you trying something new for a project. All that the instructors did was read off the online material that you had access to and had to also study on. Essentially, if it wasn't in the curriculum then they did not know anything about it or how to help you. Most of the time, you had more help and learned more from other students after the program ended. I have learned more from Udemy courses, Coursera courses, and free coding websites than from Coding Dojo bootcamp. Now I am stuck with a PRIVATE student loan from a servicing company that Coding Dojo pushes for you to use and that loan servicer does not care about lowering payments, postponing payments more than 3 months for a total of 9 months, or any help at all. Most of us are still out of a job or had to go back to our old job now with more debt with some alumni filing for bankruptcy. Coding Dojo and Ascent Funding should be sued for putting so many students through financial hardship and should refund students their money.Coding Dojo Response
