Lvnv funding sold my credit card debt to M&J. In November 2021 they secured a wage garnishment and sent to my employer. The total was deducted through 6 transactions ending in January 2022. 3 months later Resurgent has been transferred my lvnv funding account and are demanding payment. I explained the situation and they tell me M&J are no longer in business and have no record of me paying my debt, despite me sending them a copy of garnishment and my pay stubs showing total garnished. This is BS. I paid my debt and my obligation is over. I should not have to worry about another garnishment for a paid debt! Someone needs to do something about this!

I received a garnishment notice through my employer on 9/14/21. I did what I thought was right- I contacted the law firm and paid in full ($1966.26) on 9/16/21 (debited from by bank account on 9/20/21). Through a series of events I dont fully understand, I was still garnished on 3 pay periods for a total of $1603.55. To date there has been one check for $590.12 returned. I tried to call the law firm today only to find out they are no longer operational. My employer states it is out of their hands. The remaining $1013.43 owed to me may not seem like much, but it is money I counted on and worked hard for. I settled my debt in a timely, responsible manner only to end up paying almost twice the owed amount. I have no idea how to get my money back. Please help me figure out how to get the money back, or who I can contact. Thank you!

I have been making online payments to MJ Firm since 1/2016. When I logged on to make the payment in December, 2021 there was the message about accounts being move, etc. I have not heard from anyone about where my acct went. I called all the numbers that I could find and none of them had any record of accts with my ssn. I need to find out where my acct went....as of this writing, I would be considered behind since payment was due 12/31/2021. Thank you.

My account with Machol & Johannesburg is nearly paid of. I went on the website on December 29th to make my usual monthly payment and my account has been given to another company. I received no letters, phone calls or any communication from either company. Who am I supposed to be working with now?

I'm trying to find out information if this business went bankrupt or out of business while current customers are in the process of trying to honor their payment arrangements? I had a payment arrangement with M&J on behalf of a creditor. I made my first initial payment last month via their website. However, when I went to their website this morning to make my final payment, I found that their webpage is defunct with a generic message about how all their cases are being returned to their customers or creditors, etc. and that they are no longer servicing consumer accounts. You can call and leave a voicemail that's supposedly monitored but no one has called me back. My concern is that customers such as me who were in the middle of payment arrangements were never notified that this company was going out of business and I have no idea what's going on with my account now. How do I make a payment and who do I make it to? I would have expected to have been proactively contacted before they took down their webpage and went out of business. This is concerning because I have already made one large payment last month and I'm concerned about my remaining payment and if this is part of a fraudulent scam. When I call the plaintiff in this case, which is the creditor who bought my account from the original creditor, they're showing I still owe them the full amount of money, and not the amount that was settled on by myself and M&J. This concerns me as well.

I am rejecting this response because:  I received conflicting information from Machol & Johannes directly.  They told me that my account was sent back to the creditor, LVNV and that I need to make payments directly to them.  So this information provided conflicts with what I've already been told by M&J.

      Sincerely,

      *********************
