Horrible experience. Once you pay for the building, you might as well forget about customer service! It's a joke! We purchase a large 4 car garage and our salesman picked an installer, we were good to go except it's been a sh$& show ever since. We're 3 months past due and missing and wrong parts is the new excuse for not being done. I should have noticed all the bad reviews. I will keep fighting to get this right! The building is on a slope of mud. I now need to pay for a retaining wall just to keep it from eroding around it! I'm so disgusted and call after call gets nothing done. READ the reviews before you choose and any building company. I wish we never purchased from sunward!Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc. Response

We are sorry to hear *************** experience was not satisfactory. We have had a couple of calls with *******************, and Sunward is looking into the matter to determine if the issues are related to the metal building system or the erection and construction of the building. We are working on having a third party visit the job site to help determine the issues. Sunward takes great pride in manufacturing pre-engineered metal building components of the highest quality and customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us.Review from Holly M

I recently applied for the Executive Assistant position supporting CEO ***************** and was thrilled to be contacted for an interview scheduled for February 23rd, ****. Despite eagerly anticipating the opportunity, I was disappointed to receive an email on February 22nd, ****, stating that my interview had been canceled due to the selection of another candidate. This sudden cancellation, with such short notice, was unexpected and left me feeling disheartened after investing time and effort into preparing for the interview.Several aspects of this interaction could be considered unprofessional and poorly handled.1. Short Notice of Interview Cancellation: ********* an interview less than 24 hours before the scheduled time without a compelling reason can be perceived as disrespectful of the candidate's time and effort.2. Limited Explanation: The email informing you of the cancellation could have provided more information or context regarding the decision to choose another candidate. This lack of explanation can leave candidates feeling confused or frustrated.3. Use of Calendly: While Calendly is a convenient tool for scheduling interviews, it's essential to ensure that available time slots are realistic and align with the hiring timeline. If there's a possibility of making a decision before a scheduled interview, it's better to avoid scheduling it altogether.4. Perception of Fairness: ********* the interview and immediately notifying you that another candidate has been chosen might suggest that the decision was made hastily or without proper consideration of all applicants. This perception can damage the organization's reputation and discourage potential candidates from applying in the future.Overall, this interaction lacks professionalism, transparency, and consideration for the candidate's experience, potentially leaving a negative impression of the company and its hiring process.Review from Josh B

Wasnt going to do a review of this company but after the ongoing issues with the storage building we bought I feel we need to warn consumers. We bought 6 buildings over the years from Sunward. Never did we have issues with 8 month delays on delivery, surprise price increases, missing parts (door latches) that we had to pay for again to receive. And certainly did we never have engineering defects in the past buildings we purchased. The company changed hands but they assured us that they have the same quality and customer service as the previous owners. After paying in full they told us 6 months afterward that we needed to pay an extra $16,000 to get delivery. Even after us signing an agreement that had us locked in and PAID IN FULL. We spoke to attorney and they said we would indeed win in court but we didnt want to delay the building process. So we paid into their blackmail. After receiving building we had another delay with our builder for a month and when he started he realized they never sent any of the door latches and stops. Mind you we had bought 6 buildings with them. Never any issues. After the building was built the roof came with a 40 foot section that are supposed to bend to create an eave. We called because the past buildings never came that way. They said that is how it they are engineered. The last week we had a rain storm that had major leaks from the bent roofline that ripples. They apparently took shortcuts on who they purchase from. Never ever again will we buy from Sunward Steele. And never will we ever deal with ********************************* or ***********************. I feel like they intentionally led us wrong and ripped us off with no resolution.Sunward Steel Buildings, Inc. Response

Thank you for granting Sunward the opportunity to respond to **************** complaint. ************** has contracted with Sunward Steel Buildings (Sunward) twice during 14 years for mini storage buildings. The combined sales order does total 6 units. On or about February 11, 202, Sunward Steel Buildings (Sunward) provided a quote (hereinafter Contract) for the drawings, materials, and doors for mini storage buildings units to *******************. ************** accepted and signed the Contract on February 15, 2021. Sunward wants to preface its response by reiterating the language in the Contract which states as follows:If Manufactures fabrication of Goods is delayed for any reason, including . . . a Force Majeure Event for a continuous period for thirty (30) calendar days or more, the contract price shall be subject to re-pricing by Manufacturer to reflect any increases in labor, design and engineering, work, materials, shipping, storage, or surcharges, which Buyer hereby agrees to pay. (Contract, page 6, paragraph X.g.), (emphasis added). In the spring of 2021, when Sunward and ************** began the contracting process, the supply chain issues caused by the ******19 pandemic were well know and communicated. A delay due to material shortages in excess of a continuous thirty (30) day period occurred. This delay caused a price increase of Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-Two Dollars and no/100 ($15,392.00). The original contracted price was Forty-Seven Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($47,998.00). After signing the Contract, ************** signed two change orders. The first change order (CO1) in the amount of Eight Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars ($832.00) related to doors. Under the second change order (CO2), ************** agreed to the price increase caused by supply chain issues. Before he signed CO2, ************** was verbally given three options, receive a full refund, wait to see if steel prices go down, or agree to pay the increase. ************** agreed to pay the increased costs. Sunward confirmed with the salesperson that worked with ************** that these options were reviewed with ************** before he decided to sign CO2. ************** points to no deceptive act or practice, false promise or misrepresentation made by Sunward. ************** ignores that all the delays were contingencies and that he agreed to bear the risk of loss under the Contract. He also ignores the language in the Contract that he agreed to bear the risk of any price increases, caused by any reason. ************** claims the building leaks. Our customer service records do not indicate ************** contacted us to report an issue. Sunward will work with ************** to address the leak. Typically, leaks are a result of improper installation. ************** has now filed a complaint with the BBB. ************** does not state his desired resolution. Sunward has reached out to ************** to discuss resolution. ************** has not reached back out to Sunward. We respectfully ask the BBB to mediate to better understand **************** desired resolution.
