      Business response

      01/03/2024

*************** to a complaint sent by *************************. We responded in person on November 15, 2023 with the manager present. ************************* called me the day before and was irate on the phone as he threatened legal action if we didn't pay for damages to his property that we supposedly caused. During that conversation, he mentioned some personal type of things I won't repeat about the manager of the park and also said that he didn't want the tree taken down that we were working on. I tried to calm him down and told him I would be willing to meet him the next day which we did. The couple was completely unreasonable and tried to say our guys damaged several items including a toprail to their deck which he claims had a piece of the Cottonwood tree lodged in it. It was obvious that someone had stuck a piece of lumber which was most likely an old piece of  Pine or Cedar in an old crack in the rail. I took a picture of it. I knew at that point we were being blamed for damage that we had not done. Another item that confirmed that was an old dent on the top of his roof which had obvious dirt that settled from prior rain storms over the years which he claims was a fresh dent which I explained would not have showed sitting water over time in it if it had been fresh damage. When I told him that the piece of wood was not a piece of freshly cut **********, he told me to leave his property and his attorney would be calling us. He then called the city of ***************** ************* and claimed we were working in an unsafe manner and wanted them to investigate. I talked with one of the Forestry staff from the City of ********** and he said the person from his staff came to the site and said we were being safe and didn't understand why he had called them. This seems to be a case of an unreasonable person who wants to take advantage of a 30 year company with a long standing reputation of high quality customer **********************.
