**** (Property Manager) was very unprofessional not once but on 3 different occasions. All proper to October. I am deaf, I don't feel uncomfortable with her at other times because she has been so rude to me and mean to me for no reason as I was very polite toward her showing respect. She knows that I'm deaf and disabled. There is a law called ADA. She intruded on my interpreter while my interpreter was working to communicate with me. She did not offer or even attempt to receive the dollar amount as I was told on Monday, Oct 7th around noon. She exhausted to my interpreter that ******* ********** * ********** ***** was the 9th largest raking in the U.S.A. I researched on the internet and she wasn't telling the truth. It was in the bottom 20 at the top. She told my interpreter that if I turned in the key by the 16th of October I wouldn't have an eviction in my name as background since she already had an eviction. **** (Property Manager) did not issue a Second notice. She immediately filed an eviction not during count weekend it should have been during the business day not given 2 days do eviction filing. She was rude telling me that my interpreter gave me bad advice to try to help me to understand it was good advice that my interpreter gave me. **** knows I'm deaf I felt like they were targeting me that I'm deaf as disabled. **** rushed me and my interpreter out of the office by turning the light off and she did cut me off more times I don't get any respect. At the time pre-inspections before my renewal of lease for each year. they came into my home and just looked for 5 min not checking anything to make sure what needed to be fixed care they didn't put work order to fix the cabinets, i have mold in my bathroom it has been there i tried to tell them they seemed not put in a work order at any time I called sometimes they don't put on for request. one day I asked her one question it is okay to pay rent with a barcode at Walmart or a money order and got mad at me.Review from Lisa K

If I could give a negative 109 stars to this company I would do it. I looked forward to moving there due to the location, but soon found nothing but problems transpired during my residency there. The list of reasons to not choose this apartment complex is lengthy beginning with the fact that they tempt you with a new, very clean and updated model. What you end up with is something quite the opposite with site unseen until contract is signed. The common areas are philthy all of the time. Rather than hiring a team to keep this area clean they hired an elderly man to do it. We began seeing bites on ourselves and my service pet. Soon finding a bedbug and reporting this to the office, they acted as if they disbelieved us and it took three weeks for us to receive our first treatment. We are certain the insects were in the apartment to begin with. My boyfriend often slept in the closet due to lighting and noise from outside. He was getting bitten even before our things were moved in. An office worker told him that they never have apartments sprayed between occupants and only clean or replace carpet respectively. We had our second bb treatment and he was still being bit. None of the inspections showed any insect activity, but we were locating them in residence and common areas. Two other units had them also. In all we paid 1200. A month for two rooms for the entire summer due to bedbug activity that they chose to ignore and respond to ineffectively. We broke lease *** moved because we were terrified of never being rid of these vermin. We have lost all of our very expensive possessions as a result. I have been an fine art collector for all of my adult life and have had to eliminate this collection due to my time at ********* Village. My boyfriend, a professional musician for his entire life has had to dispose of most of his instruments and equipment. Very expensive art and very expensive music equipment. Hi ****, we understand that its unsettling to live in a home you believe is infestedbe it bed bugs or other annoying insectsthis is why our team acted as quickly as possible to investigate your claims and treat the home without any evidence of said ************** every instance, our team was there for you and your partner, and we were met with disrespectful and uncooperative conduct throughout. We are sorry that you felt it necessary to dispose of valuable personal items, no one wants to go through that, but our community does not have a pest or bed bug infestation nor have there been any other complaints, sightings, or service requests (outside of the one you submitted) related to this insect. We do regret that you felt it was best for you and your family to break your lease with us and we wish you the best in your search for a new home.Review from Maurice J

wanna live surrounded by dirty/smelly hallways, noisy neighbors, leaking dishwasher and washing machines that leave your clothes stinking, negligent property management, and have rent increase even tho no updates have been made to your unit? this is the place for you ??any 5 star reviews you see here are paid actors. dont believe me? come see for yourself.Monarch Investment & Management Group, LLC Response

The maintenance and leasing staff at my complex are very unhelpful and unconcerned with resolving issues. The office is never open during the hours listed or close early with no email notification and the staff barely answer the phones or the phones are never working. I submitted two separate maintenance requests on 07/18 and 7/25 to have lighting in the rear stairwell of my building replaced as it is pitch black at night and certainly unsafe for any residents in the building. They only replaced lights on the 1st level of the building and I live on the 2nd. The jobs are always half completed. I have requested to be called prior to any maintenance personnel showing up to my home as I live alone and work from home and they continue to just show up whenever. A gentleman knocked on my back door around 7pm approximately 2 weeks ago claiming to be the new maintenance manager, whom I had not met before, but of course I could not physically see him since it is so dark in the stairwell after sunset. This is an absolute safety risk since the back door has no lock and anyone can enter. There are also residents, who don't live in my building, that go into the basement to utilize the laundry facilities but prior we were told to always keep the door locked. I have submitted another request to have the lights replaced in the upper part of the stairwell in the hopes that this issue will finally be resolved.Monarch Investment & Management Group, LLC Response

In January this year, I had a late payment since my bank account was hacked. Contacted the apartment complex, and they ignored me. They then said I was on probation for the next 6 months and had to pay the rent by money order or a cashier's check. On August 7th, I went into the complex's office and asked them if since it had been 6 months they could make it so I could make payments online. The person I talked to said they would send a request to IT and that it would be done before my rent was due at the end of the month. It is now September 10th, and the issue has still not been resolved. They said they aren't sure how long it will take for IT to do this but assured me it would be done before the end of this month. I have called Monarch Investments twice now and left a message, without hearing back. I've only lived here since April, but every day I'm here it's miserable. The only reason I renewed my lease is because I can't afford to live anywhere else right now, so unless you can't afford another place to live, I would not even think about living here. My mom has hip issues, and she needs to park in a handicapped parking space, but there is not a single space on their property. I had to go to the office and ask them for a pass so my mom could park in front of the complex without her car getting towed. Luckily the complex was open that day, otherwise, we would have had to drop her off and go to park her car somewhere else. They also weren't too happy about giving me a pass so my mom could visit, which would be a simple fix if they would just add handicapped parking spaces. So, unless you are desperate and have no other choice, I would not recommend living here.Monarch Investment & Management Group, LLC Response

You were added to ******** lease on 4/11/24, and although the previous NSF payments on 6/1/23 and 1/1/24 were unrelated to you, the cash-equivalent payment policy did apply to your account as well.
**** spoke with you on 8/31/24 about your disabled online payment option and advised you to reach back out on 9/3/24. Your payment status was reset, and *******,our Regional Manager, approved on 9/10/24, allowing payments with any method.
Regarding parking, while we have three disability spaces, none are near the * building.We don't have a record of the specific conversation regarding parking, but we do show that a resident pass was checked out for you from 4/27-4/29/24, likely for guest parking. Last year this property was ok . Until the management changed. She seems very unpleasant and very uninterested in her job . Also I have never made a late payment always on time I had it set to auto pay for one year but I completely forgot about it . Didnt get a message a phone call or an email . They just put an eviction notice on my door and would not forgive the 160$ late fee. I will be breaking my lease as soon as possible . And it got really ghetto . My AC stopped working on Friday night (7/12). My family and I woke up Saturday morning to our thermostat reading 82 degrees inside our townhome. I immediately called our rental office when they opened to report a maintenance request, and was told a ticket would be put in and someone would come out to check. No one showed up. My thermostat was reading 87 degrees inside my townhome by 1pm. I have a four month old infant and a 2 year old inside the home, which I did tell my rental office about when reporting my AC not working. I called the office three more times after my initial conversation with the leasing specialist, and they took the phone off the hook and did not answer my calls for the rest of the day. I called emergency maintenance to report my AC problems and was told that is not considered an emergency according to Ohio law. It has now been three days and no maintenance has showed up, it is expected to be 90 degrees outside today.Review from Nadia S

I moved here in June of 2021, fresh out of college. At the time, this apartment complex was within my budget, quiet and relatively close to my job. Everything was ok for the first few weeks then I started noticing things I did not like! For starters, it was told to me that pest control visited the property regularly. That was indeed a lie.August 29, 2021 was when I first noticed that my apartment floods. I alerted the then assistant property manager of this issue and she stated to me that when building 12 was built, it was not leveled properly so theres always been an issue with flooding (Why wasnt I made aware of that when I moved in)? She offered to move me to an upstairs unit but of course didnt follow through on that promise and it didnt happen. This problem continued to happen in my unit multiple times during the 3 years I lived there. Upon moving out, I noticed that water not only came in through my patio door, but my front door as well ruining multiple pieces of furniture.Next, I started noticing that this complex really isnt as safe as they want everyone to believe. During my time here, I witnessed DV and even a shooting in February 2023.Lastly, My ** broke in my apartment on June 8th. When I began moving out June 21, it was still broken. I even called the front office and spoke with someone who stated theyd send maintenance but didnt! Prior to that, maintenance visited my unit 3 times before they stopped coming. At one point, it reached 84 degrees in there. Management was made aware that the issue wasnt fixed and didnt try to resolve it. I even received a not so pleasant call from *** the property manager trying to tell me that because I only submitted two maintenance requests regarding the ** that didnt make it a recurring issue. Yes, I only submitted two requests but I thought itd make more sense to communicate via email if they were already aware of the issue. Regarding the pest issue you mentioned, our records indicate that no such issue was reported, and our recent inspection found no pest activity. The other issues you mentioned were never called in,and no other residents have reported them. As you have moved out, we advise all work orders to be reported promptly while you are still residing here so we can address them immediately. Many of the concerns you mentioned do not align with our communitys standards. However, we are here for you and want to ensure that all concerns are addressed. Recently moved in *******************. The carpet was all wet and they said the water came from moving the fridge but what really is, is that the ac is leaking and that is the day before we moved in. it's been 2 weeks and they came 4 times still can't fix it.
