January 10, 2022 this business owner took my car to look at the transmission for confirmation that it needed replaced. January 13th, verbally, he gave a quote of $3800.00 for a new transmission plus $800.00 labor to swap out with the stock one. Same day, 13th, I took $3300.00 in cash to start the process. That afternoon I received an invoice/receipt that stated there would be a balance of $1000.00 due at delivery of the car. That was already $200.00 more than the initial quote. February 4th, 2022 I was told that in order to finish the job, I had to take the rest of the money which was now $1200.00. February 11th 2022 I was told my car was done and so I went to get it. I asked for an itemized invoice/receipt for the charges as well as the information on where my now new transmission came from. I was denied this information so I chose not to take my car home. February 14th I picked up my car even though I was being refused the proper paperwork and information. I was told by the owner himself who is also the mechanic that "it's not your problem to know where" he then told me how "I am the warranty so I am who the new transmission came from". Frustrated, I told him that I did not pay to have a transmission rebuilt, but for a new one & to be swapped out. April 7th, 2022, my car broke down on me due to the transmission. April 11th, 2022 I contacted the business to inform him of the issue and that I will be taking my car to him for repair. Per his demand, I was not able to have it towed until the 20th of April 2022. Since that day, my car is still in the exact spot the tow truck driver was instructed to drop it at and I have not gotten any response from this man nor any update on when my car will be done. Today is now 1 day shy of 2 months later that he is still refusing to give me any info or answer any my attempts of contacting him.
