I performed an online search for an appliance repair company servicing the Roaring Fork Valley. PLM Appliance Repair was one of the repair companies listed. I reached out by phone with no response. I reached out by email and received a response to perform a service call to fix my dryer which was no longer drying clothes. The owner, Paul, arrived at my house with his young daughter on August 18, 2023. I visited with her while he inspected my dryer. He told me the heating element was toast and a new part needed to be ordered. He said he would order the part right away and make a return visit to install. He charged me $478.07 with the promise of returning within a week or two with the replacement part. I have not heard from him since his visit on August 18th. I’ve called and left three voice messages on their business phone and sent three emails with no response. He charged me for parts and services that were not provided or installed. I’ve since read multiple reviews for this company with almost identical experiences. The business is fraudulent and scamming people out of money for services not performed. PLM came in April 2022 to service our oven. They charged us $380 for a part they said they were ordering. We never heard back from them, so after a couple months, I called and they said it was on back order. Fair enough. A month later, I called again, and since then, every call and voicemail I've left has been ignored. It's not been 6 months, and they will not answer their phone or tell me what's going on. I finally got Randi to answer on Sept 15. She seemed very frazzled, took a few minutes to look me up, then said she'd need to put me on hold. I waited 10 minutes when the call finally was disconnected. I called back and left multiple messages that day, and she never called me back. I've now left messages just asking if they can tell me what part it is they ordered, so I can find it elsewhere. No call back. I've also asked for my money back, and no call back. They have multiple reviews like this on ****** - I truly don't know how they are still operating. I feel scammed, and want my money back from this company. They are a complete fraud.
