I bought a kayak from the company and after receiving it I returned it following their policy. They received the kayak and say that due to wear and tear they are charging my 15% of the price. I had the kayak out of the shipping container for no more than a day. They are providing no evidence. The kayak is in "Like new " condition as stated on their policy. One of the reasons I returned it was chips in the hull, but they have not identified any reason for the charge. The boat is also not as described and is almost 20lbs heavier than what they advertise.Business response

Customer returned product. We tried to refund the customer the purchase price minus a reconditioning fee due to the fact that the product had been used and can not be repaired to new condition. Our return policy is clearly stated on our website: *********************************/. However, when we tried to process the refund, ******, the payment processor, notified us that the customer had filed a dispute with them which prohibited us from processing the refund until they are done with the claim/dispute. I am rejecting this response because: there was wear and tear on the kayak when I got it. I have more photos of this. The policy is like new not new when you return it. Everything is cosmetic from the photos they sent me. The kayak still constitutes like new condition in what I’ve seen. I filed a claim with the shipper and Pakayak refused to have them inspect the item therefor I can’t claim it on the insurance I purchased. Once again many of their concerns existed prior to me receiving the kayak and it is still in like new condition. I also have the letter from ups that Pakayak didn’t respond to their requests if you need this.
