so yesterday i called marco awards group and they ship me some items from ******, *****. i asked them for shipping they said they could not provide it until it shipped. i wake up the next morning and they charged my card 361.01 for an item that cost 115 dollars. over 240 dollars worth of shipping. that is ridicull scam. i called marco and they are yet to get back to me why? i called ups and they gave me the weight and demension of the box and they said shipping should not have been over 35 dollars. it was ups ground. This is a horrible practice that is getting worse as the scam more and more people. I would like to open up a dispute as i will be doing through ups as well. I lost out on this oder. and would like to know why they are doing what they are doiing.Business response

Customer was correct that there was a billing error in regards to their freight calculation, caused by human error in the shipping department.
We were notified by phone call of the issue on Thursday February 1 at 2:45pm est, and processed a credit/refund on Friday February 2 at 1pm est.
We refunded the freight overcharge amount back to the customers credit card on Friday February 2 and called the customer to explain the error, apologize for the error, and confirm it was being corrected to his satisfaction.

After a conversation with Marco i have received a resolution and a refund. apparently ground freight was accidently clicked instead of regular ground. I am 100 percent satisfied and will continue to use Marco Awards. They have given me timely and exceptional trophy service.Initial Complaint

My business purchased double sided adhesive tape from Marco Awards Group on May 4, 2022. When the product was received, it was not adhesive. They shipped a roll of crumbly, dry, non-sticky paper. The total amount they owe me is $45.84. The product was $27.35 + $18.49 shipping. This purchase was a rip-off. The shipping cost almost as much as the faulty product and I was told I would get a full credit. I contacted Marco and I was informed by Cathy G***** I would receive a full credit for my order since it was a bad product. I never received the refund. On May 31, I contacted them and stated I never received the refund. She told me credits were running about 4-6 weeks late. I contacted her again today (6/13) to inform her I did not receive my refund. I want the refund by tomorrow so I can fix my books for the month of May. This process has taken too long and I need to move on financially from this.Business response

Full credit for the purchase and freight charges to the residential shipping address have been processed and refunded to the customer credit card as of June 13.

I am rejecting this response because:They did not even try to process a refund until 6 weeks were up, and about 6-8 emails requesting my credit...
Cathy G***** requested my Credit Card information over an email (which is unprofessional and quite sketchy) before processing the refund, 6 weeks after my initial contact regarding the faulty product. Then, when I refused to send the info over email, all she responded was GOOD. No credit card information should be requested since it was initially charged, it can be reversed and cancelled without confidential, personal information being requested via email.
I will not close this case until I see the money actually deposited , processed and approved in my business bank account. It isn't showing up yet.
When the money is officially in there as a real deposit, I will close this case.
I don't recommend this company to other businesses. There is no profit when using this company for merchandise. You have double charges, no credits, and wrong merchandise. All of this costs a business time, and money and removes any profit that would occur when using a good business.
