After signing up via their ambush spots outside heb I decided to give them a trial test. They waived installation and all fees to get me on board. After signing literally hrs after I got my first billing statement including numerous fees. I canceled the service via their all toooo troublesome call us and let us banter you out of canceling service line, after speaking they removed the fees ( note I had not even opened or installed the kit yet - it is still un-installed as of now ) after calling and second time after the fees reappeared on the acct the day after they removed them - in canceled the subscription card and service ) as of now the subscription is still active .. I'm not returning the hardware until the acct is 0'd out .. otherwise I have scrap metal to strip gold plating off of for future crafts. Be sure to watch your backs when signing up with these bandits, they go outnof their way to Rob you everywhere they can, every step without remorse.Review from Elizabeth P

I closed my account & turned my equipment in on 10/25/24. I received an email the following week stating I needed to turn my equipment in or I would be charged for the equipment. ??? My billing cycle ran from 10/21 - 11/20. I was told that my billing would not be prorated or adjusted to just the 5 days of service I used & that I still owed for an ENTIRE MONTH of service I would not be receiving. I don't understand how this can be legal? They don't credit you for loss of service everytime the wind blows & their service goes out & now they're billing me for month of service I didn't receive. 0 stars Promotions removed based on hidden rules to sign up for additional unneeded services. Spectrum encourages paperless billing. Spectrum encourages enrollment in auto-pay. The only place a customer can find the “important rules of service” are only on your first printable billing file, where they include in fine print they will remove your promotions after 30 days. A bait-and switch tactic used to raise rates and cause more headache for a customer to change providers. User interface on the app is made difficult for average users to find more information on this. They do not honor their promotions, they are a dishonorable business.Review from Brandon Y

Hurricane Helene hit Western ***** ******** this company lost service for over 30+ days and is still sending out full bills and only small partial credits spectrum is ripping us off after so many have went thru so much!Review from ALTA K

I recently decided to bundle my TV, mobile and internet service with Spectrum because multiple Customer Services Reps and the Service Tech that came to my house to set up the modem assured me they had both internet and mobile coverage available for my street address location. I began by switching my phone service to them, which included a purchased of a new phone. Then after a few days of waiting for the internet activation with no contact from Spectrum, I discovered that in fact they did not have internet service at my location and they would not be getting it in place any time in the near future because it was cost prohibitive. All of this I had to find out on my own after talking with multiple people at Spectrum because no one from there bothered to inform me of this situation until after I made the mobile switch and paid for a new phone. I would recommend you do not take the word of their CRS's on service availability or make a purchase from them before you get a Technician on your site to do a line survey if you want to do a mobile/internet bundle. I will be leaving Spectrum mobile and going back to my previous provider because I don't trust Spectrum at their word any longer.Review from Matt S

On 10/29/24 we had an outage in the ************* ** area for over 4.5 hours. I called and was told that we would get a credit for anything over 2 hours. On 10/30/24 they texted me saying that the credit was cancelled because the outage was less 2 hours, which was absolutely wrong. I called and spoke to 3 different levels of service at spectrum and finally a manager recognized that we had numerous outages throughout the night and that their system didn't recognize it as an outage over 2 hours. She said that it probably never completely came up before going down again but their automated system cancelled the service credit because it came back up momentarily. She did give a credit for the service being out but it was after I had to go through 3 different levels of management and 45 minutes on the phone with them. I told them I was calling the BBB because it's not right. They should automatically give their customers credit when they have a service outage that last that long. I highly recommend that if you were effected by this service outage that you should call and request credit for services they failed to provide.Review from THEODORE G

I went into spectrum in good faith thinking I would receive the services I paid for instead I was miss led and ended up never receiving the services I paid for from day 1 of service with spectrum. We never received any credit for Hurricane Helene nor any of the other outages we had and we’ve had multiple outages example (8 in 1 month alone). We will never ever recommend Spectrum ever again to anyone period!!!Review from Cathy D

Spectrum is horrible. Worst customer service and management does not listen to you. I moved to another apartment complex called to notify them. I had a salesperson in the new complex helping me with the setup. Nothing was told to me on how to cancel service what I need to do, I did not know it was a separate account. Just that everything would be taken care of. They charged me for two months that I did not live in the other complex, all I did was move. They stated I was supposed to have taken the equipment back the day I moved. That wasn't told to me when I called them. Who has time for that when you are trying to move. I spoke with management and they stated you could have lived in two places at once. Who heard of that. I told them they could call the old complex and they would tell them I was not living there. They did not believe me and are charging me for two months that I did not live there. I was paying on the new apartment complex, like I thought rolled over. I am cancelling my service and do not want to ever deal with them again. They feel they have you because apartment complexes have a contract with Spectrum. It is awful the way you are treated like a criminal. Why would I lie. Now they are going to report to collections which will ruin my credit.Review from Deborah Z

Spectrum gouges customers! I was previously with **** for years on a prepaid plan. When inquiring about Internet service, the representative talked me into a new phone and switching over to Spectrum. When I received my first bill, I was shocked.My first bill was $361 after being told my monthly cell phone bill would be $25.97 and my Internet on seasonal hold at $4.99. I requested a new phone and they sent me the identical phone. I already owned. I returned it in perfect condition and they charge me $227.90 for what they determined was a grade C, additionally, they charged me $76.33 for a restocking fee, which was never discussed. Additionally, they charged me. $56.99 for my seasonal billing. I disputed the phone return charge and they will not return my money. They will only do business with a credit card on auto pay. Had I known that I would never have gone with this company… The moral of the story is do not go with Spectrum choose anyone other than that Highway robbery company ??????
