- Date of transaction: March 23, 2023 - Amount of money paid is $880 day of service - Complete partial reconstruction of fence and replace fence doors with pool safe doors, latches, and spring hinges that trigger the door to close automatically. This also needs to be completed in order for the Town to inspect the safety of my property and give us an approval. - Shortly after the job was "complete" (approx. 1 hour and 34 minutes later) I received a text message from the owner of Blue Hen Fence (Dale) telling me he had bad news. He stated that his son (who lead the team that completed the job) reported that the springs on the hinges of the fence were bad and that he could not get them to spring. This is crucial as the springs help the gate automatically shut as per pool safety regulations. **** tells me he may be able to buy a set of hinges and put one on each gate/door to get them working properly. I say okay. Days go by and I have heard nothing from **** at Blue Hen. I waited a little longer since **** is notorious for delayed responses and work. A couple of weeks go by and I see the Blue Hen crew working on my neighbor's fence behind our house. I walk over there and call **** to ask him about finishing the work on my gates. He tells me he's been busy and that he will get the springs and install them soon. I say okay. A whole month goes by and not one word. It's now 5/24/2023 and I text **** checking up on the status of getting the hinges. No response. I tried calling several times and the voicemail is full. No return calls. Another almost month goes by and I text **** on 6/20/2023 letting him know that our permit expired and I had to request an extension because the hinges were not done. No reply. Text again on 7/13/2023, no reply. Again on 8/7/2023, no reply. 8/8/2023 I text and tell him my extension is expiring. No response. Text again on 9/5/2023, no reply. After 6 months of attempts, I stopped, until 4/26/2024, I send one last text. Not a single reply.
