I love Rose's. I live out of state and bring my dogs to Rose's for their baths and nail trimming whenever I visit my mother, who also takes her dog to get shaved/groomed. Rose's takes care of the dogs and loves them, big and small!! Even ones who are somewhat nervous about nail grinding like one of mine....they take their time w/ her and sweet talk her to make her feel comfortable. I wish that I didn't live 2.5 hours away so I could go to Rose's more often!!!Review from April H

I took my 2 Maltese to be groomed and when I picked them up I noticed that my girls ponytails were cut without my permission. I asked the receptionist to speak to Rose because I didn’t authorize anyone to cut their ponytails nor did anyone contact me to get permission. Rose never came from the back and the receptionist told me Rose said I have to bring my dogs within 5 weeks or she wouldn’t groom them, avoiding the fact that my girls ponytail was cut into Pom poms without my permission. The receptionist and another groomer started to scream at me telling me Rose is not coming from the back and I can find another groomer. I thought it was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL that Rose never came from the back to address the situation about cutting my girls ponytails or deescalating the behavior displayed by her employees. It took me years to allow my Maltese ponytails to grow that long for them to just cut them off without my permission!! That was rude and unprofessional!!! I will not return and I would suggest other consumers to be warned by this type of behavior!!!!Review from Denise P.

Horrible experience. Took dog in for 9:30 appointment to get his coat trimmed. At 2 pm, the dog was still waiting. I knew he would be stressed waiting in that environment so went to pick him up. They said they were just too busy. Well then they shouldn't overbook if can't keep to the appointment schedule. They gave me my dog and I left. As pulling out of the parking spot, the receptionist comes out and tells me I owe them $40 for a bath and nail trim. I never requested either of those services. When I said I wouldn't pay, they actually called the State Police to have me arrested for theft of services. How can I steal services that I never requested or authorized. They claimed the dog wasn't stressed but he wouldn't leave my lap for hours and vomited several times. They banned me as though I would ever take my dog back there. I feel they should give me my $40 back as I did not want either a bath or nail trim. The groomer specifically asked what I wanted and I said trim his coat and shape it all up so he is a cute little Papillion.Grooming by Rose, LLC Response

We are sorry that you feel your visit was unsatisfactory. Our staff advised you upon checking in that we were training new employees, that the groom would take longer than normal, and that we would call you when Chance was ready. This was not your first visit to our salon, so you were aware that bathing and blow-drying the dog, nail trimming, anal gland expression, ear-cleaning and teeth-spraying is included in the cost of every groom. If all you wanted was a scissor trim, we would have had you wait while we performed that service; however, you requested a full groom. Your dog was next in line to be trimmed when you returned stating that it had been "long enough" and that your dog was experiencing separate anxiety from you. We remain with the animals at every step during the grooming process. Chance was calm and happily accepting attention and affection. You were charged for services rendered - the cost of the bath, which is $40 for the size and weight of your dog. You received those services because you yourself scheduled a full groom. Our receptionist called the police because you adamantly and belligerently refused to pay for services rendered and continuously swore at our staff, calling them "stupid" and a host of crude vulgarities. You continued to do this while our receptionist was on the phone with police describing the situation. Due to these circumstances, you are no longer welcome as a customer in our salon.Customer Response

This is incorrect. When I dropped Chance off the groomer specifically asked what I wanted done and I told her "scissor trim and shape his fur so that he looks like a cute little Papillon". There was no mention of full groom. There was no mention of bath. There was no mention of nails. Just to trim his coat. I did not react unpleasantly until you did when I said I was not paying for services I did not request or approve. That is when you called the police. I did nothing wrong. You are the ones who did not do what I told the groomer I wanted done and you may say Chance was fine but he most definitely was stressed. Think you should do better with your scheduling and your communication. Once again, the groomer knew exactly what we said we wanted done but chose to do something different to charge more money.Grooming by Rose, LLC Response
