Deceptive car pricing practices, car was marked $35500 and they ended up jerking the price to $37800. They give one price but when you get to sign paperwork, you discover they already added $2000 plus over imaginary stuff namely: treatments and protections on top of the manufacturers warranty. The treatments/protections of the windshield from chips, ceramic treatment for interior protection and paint treatment, etc. This are all inflated dealership fees that they force on you. They will underrate you trade in and make it look like its junk so that they can underprice it. Be careful when you go to this dealership or you will be conned.

I brought my vehicle to this location bc it’s a newer model and I have extended warranty on the car. If I knew it was something smaller I would have taken my issues to my mechanic. From the beginning I had issues with communication and misinformation. Their customer service is awful in every department. I was told It would take and entire day to get a new battery and the cost for a battery is $480. When I got home later that same night I picked up the car my dash board still had three lights on(engine , battery , steering wheel). If the car is not reset the lights remain on and if the problem is not resolved and lights will continue to come on until it’s resolved. Two days later I am driving on a major highway when my car completely shuts off 60 mph. I steer off to the nearest ramp while the car is completely SHUT OFF. After speaking with cooperate he tells me he willl reimburse me for my tow , promised a rental and also told me he would service my car the following day. The day of Derrick the manager calls and says they are not servicing my car and can only reimburse me for what I paid. I had my Dad look at my car and the mechanic that serviced my car didn’t properly install my positive battery cable. The cable was off leaving my battery to be drained. They didn’t reset my computer system with the new battery as well. The lack of accountability is awful. These people have no integrity and are not honest people. This experience was extremely stressful. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here

Deceptive used car pricing. They advertise one price but when you get there, you discover they already added $1400 in magic invisible treatments to the car so the price is higher. One of the treatments is to protect the windshield from chips. I never would have paid $700 for such a treatment since chips are rare and most insurance companies cover this with no deductible. They claim insurance companies won’t cover recalibrating the windshield cameras but I doubt this is true. The other $700 is a ceramic treatment to protect the interior. Doubt this is very effective and I am sure both these treatments would be cheaper elsewhere if I really wanted them. Very descriptive practice. I strongly recommend you shop elsewhere.

About a month ago I traded in a 2020 Corolla for a 2012 Jeep Liberty, whole purpose was to lower monthly payments and how much I was financing. Not only was I denied the 2k over KBB that the dealership sent me a flyer for, I didn't even get KBB value for my vehicle that merely had a couple of minor dents and absolutely zero mechanical issues. I asked about that promotion and was simply told I didn't qualify. The Jeep I left the lot with that day has not spent more than a day and a half in my possession. over the last month it has been taken into the shop 5 times twice for the same issue and 3 times for other issues that needed to be fixed. For the last week, I have been emailing the salesman Ajay, asking what my options are because at this point Id rather be carless without a payment and loan than be carless with a payment and loan. He either sends an email subject line reading only "I am working on this for you" or he doesn't reply at all. I have no idea what he is working on for me and have no idea what my options are with returning this vehicle. I called and spoke to Edgar Estrada yesterday, who said he would make some calls and get back to me. Well almost 24 hours later and still nobody has told me what my options are with returning this vehicle that clearly needs to be totaled and forgotten about. I knew when I served that car dealers take advantage of service members buying vehicles, never have I experienced something like this either in uniform or as a veteran today. I have been completely left in the dark and essentially ghosted after I was sold a broken vehicle.

My girlfriend recently went to Newark Toyota looking to purchase a new vehicle. I arrived a little late after she had gotten her quote on a trade in. She had already gotten a quote from another dealer so we were interested in what they would offer. The offer was $3000 less. The salesman proceeded to tell us they had three dealer add ons totaling over $1000 that were mandatory as part of the sale and we couldn’t have them removed. One was a exterior and interior protection package. I said the vehicle is protected with brand new paint and clear coat and the package wasn’t necessary. The other was a pulse feature that reduces rear end collisions by making one of the rear lights blink when stopping. I believe these were just money making gimmicks to benefit the dealership at the buyers expense. Then we were told the sales manager believed the used car market was fluctuating and prices were going to drop on used vehicles so they couldn’t budge on the trade in value. Kelley Blue Book had it at $22,000. Every time we thought we were getting something it appeared it was cancelled out by some charge or add on by the dealer. Very unwilling to deal or bargain. Yes the dealers and sales people have to make money but the consumer shouldn’t have to overpay on both sides of the deal. Buying a car should not be this difficult.
