I did rent a car from One Switch Rent a Car/******* ******** in Florida. On their site they have a full coverage package which is a misleading representation. Once I had to pick up the car on July 20th, 2023 I was told it was not an insurance. I had to buy another insurance from them and I tried to call to cancel the misleading coverage, the representative did hand up the phone on me. The next day I called the rep did hand up the phone again. I did return the car on July 26th, 2023, after 10 days I called to inquire about my deposit. I was told that I have to make a claim through email and a wrong email was given to me. I called twice after that again the representative did hang up the phone. Now I have to contact my credit card company to make a claim so that I can get my deposit back. I've been renting cars for years and I never went to that extent with a rental company. They are rude, not professional. That was the first time renting with them and that was my last. I couldn't get a car during that time through *********** ***** ***** *** ****** that I am a member with my company. One Switch Rent a Car/******* booking by far is the worst by their ads and deposit refund. After a month I am still waiting for my deposit which sooner or later they will have to return. MY DEPOSIY WAS NOT A DONATION. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN. Jean W PierreReview from Moustafa A

On August 8, 12:14 AM I reserved a rental car from “one switch” rental company, which is associated with “car rental” company under reservation GMFLC- 462262. Their telephone number is 305–470-7556. I was given the price of $92.61 for 4 days. I paid with my credit card “pend fed” visa. In the morning I went to pick up the rental car, and I was told that there is a change of $48.00 tolls in advance, which is acceptable, and another charge for $276.00 for car insurance. I offered my car insurance and they said no, they are a small company and they cannot accept it. I wanted to cancel the reservation and they refused. I declined the car and I deserve my refund of $92.61. I did not leave satisfied or heard.Review from Margaret J

They try at check in to nickel and dime you. Have me a damaged vehicle. Tire had a hole on the inside. It went flat while u was driving it and they want to charge me for the tire. I reported the damage I saw before I took the car. Did not sign the tire part of the contract. They still want to charge. Horrible company.Review from Sara M

This company uses bait and switch techniques. They post the lowest prices on all the traveling websites to suck you in. The site of the business is offsite from the airport. Once you’re there, they have liability insurance requirements that far out strip any of the normal car rental businesses. If you don’t meet those requirements then they have to charge you an extra fee. In the end, it is not cheaper than any of the other places they just trick you to get you into the business. They know exactly what they’re doing. After a long day of flying, already tired, they know you’re not going to go back to the airport to rent a car for a realistic price.Review from Marissa G

I am reaching out concerning my recent rental experience in Orlando, Florida. I reserved a car through Priceline. I paid for the rental in full as well as purchased the car insurance. Upon arrival to this establishment there were already other disgruntled customers even before I was assisted. There were several people complaining about pricing as well as I observed at least three people turned away that had reservations. This should have alerted me what I was about to experience. The practices that your company engage in are very resemblant of predatory. The bait and switch behavior was unbelievable. I prepaid $80 for a car rental and walked out paying over $300. Between the hidden fees ad ons and god knows the other charges, it was sickening at best. Let’s not forget the rude and nonchalant customer service. The cashier even found the trickery funny and constantly smirked as customer after customer exhibited their disbelief and disdain to your deceptive practices. I have never experience anything like this. What was supposed to be a memorable trip for my 11yr old son turned into a nightmare. Because of your disregard and gauging, I had to spend money that was meant for this trip and entertainment. How dare you prey on people. I will be escalating this and reporting this behavior to the Better Business Bureau.Review from Jorgen S

They are doing very good job with advertising them self on the top off all car rental websites and filters show them on top for best price and after booking they do start the game. They trapped families to there location outside aeroport and they start to play there games with many hiding fees. They do have experience how to scam legally and basically you are trapped on there location most likely with little kids on high weather temps. Do not trap your self on there scam, they will do everything to destroy your day.Review from Justin R

This rental car company is awful!! They advertised the car at 197 for a week. Showed up with three on my children to a 2 hours wait. When I got to the desk they informed they would not let me leave with a a car without taking their insurance. I showed proof of insurance and they still would not accept it. The desk associate then lied to me and said if I canceled I would be charged for the car anyway (found out we could cancel without charge after calling Priceline who we did the reservation though without penalty). I the brought my own ****** that is valid in Florida and they stated I had to take theirs no exceptions. This place uses bait and switch pricing. We then submitted our insurance prooof twice after having to taking the car and they are still denying removing their high priced forced insurance and ezpass. STAY AWAY. Next is the BBB report from us.Review from Karen J

If there were a negative rating I'd give that. This company has hidden fees, several in fact..... Online schedule showed I would only pay small amount when picked up, tacked on deposit fees of $500.00. paperwork started I could return the car at the airport, turns out it must be returned to their location, leaving it at the airport is a $150 charge. Drive through terrible traffic to return the car and was forced to wait almost an hour in pouring rain for a van that never showed up. Ended up flagging down random transportation, who by chance in a flash flood got us within a half mile of the airport where we walked in the storm the remaining distance. This company lies, doesn't care , has hidden fees and flat out stinks.Review from P. P.

I also have issue with this company, as well as their partners (RentCar and York). My original reservation was with the York website in mid-February. About a week before my trip, I called to ask whether my personal auto insurance with **** was sufficient and was told it was. Unfortunately, my documentation did not show I had collision. So, I was charged $270 to get theirs and since then, have provided proof I do / did have full coverage. I was also able to provide this proof within 24 hours of renting the vehicle, but they keep telling me I can't get a refund. I recommend to anyone that has dealt with this company (or the other two I mention), file a complaint with the FL Attorney General. Their website is easy to find and they have a very easy process to file a complaint on line. With luck, if enough people complain, we can put these scammers out of business.Review from Jennifer F

Staff members blatantly lie to customers about the tolls to make additional sales. I explained to a customer service manager what happened and there is absolutely no accountability for staff members lying. The car was in good condition, but I was forced to spend twice as much as my rental and it was misleading and such an upsetting way to start a vacation and the company takes zero responsibility for the way the staff member handled it. Upon returning my vehicle, another woman had the very same issue, so I see this is a pattern and I can't in good faith ever rent from here again. I wish I looked at BBB before choosing them as a rental. AARP directed me to them, they should absolutely remove them from recommendations to save more people from being scammed!
