      I contracted with Gospel Gardens on 5/5/23 with work expected in two weeks. I was told that the job would be done on Aug. 17, 2023. 104 days later. I met with ***, the manager on June 30 to downsize the scope of the work and was told the work to be done would not be the $2375, and a refund would be issued. No one showed up on Aug. 17. After calling the office, I was told they would arrive the next day. *** arrived with the crew, and only old sod was removed, some dirt was put down, and half-dead sod put down. He said a refund would be issued. I have repeatedly called the office, visited the store, only to be put off. I asked for an invoice to be calculated, and that amount deducted from the amount I paid. I have been ignored, with no contact from *** or the company. Two wheelbarrows of sand and dirt, and half a pallet of dead sod does not amount to $2375. I would tell any potential customers to STAY AWAY from ********************** as they are CROOKS.

      I spoke with *************** earlier this week and have issued her a full refund to resolve this matter. **************** initially purchased a $4,750.00 dollar landscape in May of 2023, to replace dead and/or dying sod in her yard. In the time between estimate and completion of the job her yard experienced substantial regrowth downsizing the original job considerably. **************** had made an initial deposit of $2,375.00 and had a remaining balance of $2,375.00, due to the downsizing of the job we waived the $2,375.00 balance and agreed to a refund of $875.00 in September of last year. I turned the file and refund request over to my in-house accountant and considered the matter closed, until I received this letter earlier this week. In the time shortly after my accountant and longtime friend fell ill and passed away. Now I am not trying to make excuses, but this was devastating for our small business family and following up on whether or not ******************** refund had been processed before our accountant became ill just did not occur to me. Also, ******************** downsized job was 10 hours of labor consisting of; removal of dead sod, 1 yard of soil for grading, 3 pallets of St. ********************** (none of which were half dead), and 1 yard of red sand for reconstitution of swale. I am very sorry that **************** did not receive the refund we had agreed upon however, I have not heard from her in over six months, and all of this could have been avoided with a phone call.

      I am rejecting this response because:    I made many phone calls and three visits to the business to resolve this matter. I  was told *** was handling the matter.  I had no communication from them regarding the amount of the refund, and the labor, and materials used in what they did do is incorrect. I was contacted by *** the owner last week when he explained the problem, ap0l0gized, and offered a full refund of $2375.
