On 04/28/2023, I came in for a wheel bearing issue with my car, and was given a fair estimate and agreed to have work started. Half way through I was informed that my *** sensor was destroyed throughout the work and I would be charged 85$ to order a new one and have it arrive as early as Monday, or 05/01/2023. I declined due to time constraints I had in the town I was visiting and work continued without incident until it was finished. I signed for payment at the grand total of $523.90 and I attempted to drive away after services had been done. However, I noticed a new sound of metal scraping together and recognized another fault. I brought the vehicle back for another inspection and I was given an apology as the issue occurred due to rushed work and only after that was the vehicle free of the original issue. I acknowledge my original issue was serviced and I am not contesting the cost of parts equaling $322.08. However I am contesting an amount equal to the price of the *** sensor part and the labor cost of $110 to help cover the total cost of repairing damages inflicted by the business at another location. As of right now, the business has not tried to correct the issue and I am seeking $195 total in compensation for the negligent business practices I received during this transaction. For record, the part in question (*** Sensor) was fully functional prior to work being done.Business response

04/28/2023 the customer named ************************* came to my shop with no appointment with a noise on the Right front wheel bearing and we took the vehicle trying to help him out, after we pulled the vehicle in to the shop we found that the bearing was bad and gave him a price of ****** at first but the vehicle came from up north so it was *****, when we took apart the brake caliper bracket on of the bolts striped out damaging the caliper bracket and the bolts, to complete the job we had to replace it but looks like the customer doesn't understand that the shop cant pay for something that was damage by the rust no the shop fault, also the *** sensor that the customer is talking about was damage for the same reason, on ****** vehicles to replace the wheel bearings the sensor has to be removed but because the rust the sensor always gets stuck into the spindale and there is no way to get it out with out it being damage, the sensor is a plastic part and the spindale its metal so it cant be heated or anything, I'm as a owner explained to the customer what happened and told him I was going to order a sensor online to get it the cheapest we could and he was cool about it and then he rejected because he was going back home, as I explained before its not the shop fault that those parts got damage was caused by the snow, salt and rust, hope this can solve the matter.

I reject this response because the business had every opportunity to warn me about the unexpected damage to the *** sensor before it occurred and failed to do so. While I accept the explanation about my car's condition after fact-checking with another automotive business, the fact remains that I was not informed that these damages could occur prior to work being done and that I would also be financially liable for them. Had I obtained this knowledge from the business, I would have opted to not go for a repair that day and consult with other businesses' policies first to make the best informed decision as the car was still operational and could be driven off the property at anytime. The business instead failed to conduct due diligence for the customer and took on a financial risk that I did not agree to, burdening me with the cost of unexpected damages to an essential component of the car. I have since gotten the destroyed part in question repaired with the components and service sourced by me and have attached the total cost of parts and labor to fix it. Should the business reimburse these costs, I will be satisfied unconditionally and consider this a resolution. For reference, the combined total of parts and labor amounted to a total of $72.52Sincerely,
