We contracted with George ******, owner of GVS Custom Renovations to renovate our primary bathroom due to water damage, and signed a contract listing all work GVS would perform and the total cost. When the work was near completion, except for an extensive punch list, Mr. ****** asked for the final payment in full, promising to immediately begin satisfaction of the corrections needed. We discussed the issues needed to allow the completion of the project and marked all areas with blue tape. The final payment was made on September 4th, 2022. Some of the work was begun, yet as of June 2, 2023, the punch list still exists and many items are still not done. The person he sent to complete the corrections kept texting and calling us that he couldn’t come to our house and do the work for various reasons and stopped replying to our messages as to when we could expect him to come and finish. We then contacted Mr. ****** through texts, phone calls and emails to no avail. We sent an email which was answered by his mother, who is his secretary and bookkeeper, and was told that he was ill and she would help us. She did approve of a plumber coming to our home and resolve an issue, and promised she would make good on the punch list issues. We have yet to hear from her. We feel it is his responsibility to have this list completed since we met all our financial obligations in a timely manner. We waited this long to contact the BBB since we were concerned for his health and he always said we should never write anything on social media since he will always guarantee his work.
