      My whole family had been going to Bella Bella for many years. Sometimes the atmosphere was very tense between the dentist and staff, but we overlooked that because we felt the dentists were great. But over the last year and a half we started to see extra charges on things that when asked, we were told to contact the billing department. When we did that the billing department couldnt tell us what the charges were for. So after a year and a half of paying extra charges that no one could explain, the receptionist finally told me today after we were there for a cleaning, that only one dentist takes our insurance now and its up to them in the office if they want to assign the dentist that takes our plan to us when we go there. So otherwise its considered out of network. I asked why that was never told to us as we could decide if we wanted to say and pay the extra costs, or look for a new dentist after all of these years. I would say the response of the receptionist made my choice to cut ties with this dentist. She said to me why in the world would you think we have time to alert patients about anything to do with the insurance that we take! She said they are way too busy for that! I told her I was way too busy to deal with it too and told her to canceling our next appointments. Interesting how a dental office would treat a family that has been going to them since they opened their doors and has stuck with them during their own personal issues, would treat us this way and not care that they are losing us as patients. What is also interesting is that we have recommended so may patients to them including just recently I gave a great review to a friend that was looking for a new dentist. I wont be doing that anymore! Goodbye Bella Bella, Im sorry that we have to leave you, but its time to move on in finding a new dentist that values their patients and dont see them as problems or view them as dollar signs!

      The service was ok, but the reason I'm only giving a one star is because of their billing department. As a new patient, I called the office and provided them with my dental insurance. After verifying my plan, they stated that my plan covered x-rays and 2 cleanings a year. After our service, my husband and I received each a bill for our x-rays. The office performed a specific extra x-ray exam that my insurance was not covering. I understand that I have to pay any balance the insurance does not cover, but my complaint is that I checked with them and their office stated I would not have any payment for my regular annual x-rays and cleaning. I suggest you check with your insurance before you go in as well because their office cannot be trusted.
