      El 29/02 en forma online contrat un curso de Ingls en OPEN ENGLISH por un valor de $ ******* en 12 cuotas. El 04/03 me contact con esta empresa en forma telefnica porque no me enviaron ningn mail, no me dieron las credenciales para ingresar a su pgina web, etc; con el fin de anular la compra.La persona que me atendi me inform que la operacin de compra haba sido cancelada por lo que proced ese mismo da a realizar una nueva compra porque deseaba estudiar Ingls. Esta operacin me la cobraron en dlares americanos. US$ ****** Ingres en das posteriores a ver mis movimientos en el Banco y me encuentro con dos cargos. Uno en pesos por ******* y otro en dlares por ****** El 07/03 llam nuevamente a Open English y me insisten que la operacin en pesos esta cancelada y me ofrecieron un 30% de descuento del valor en dlares. En esta oportunidad me ***** un mail con el respaldo del descuento ofrecido y me entregan los datos para que me contacte por ********, si es que la operacin en pesos no se elimina. El 08/03 me contact con mi Banco (Itau) y me indicaron que es Open English el que debe aplicar las notas de crditos respectivas para que se anule el cobro en pesos.El 11/03 llamo por whatsapp y la persona que me atiende me indica que las dos operaciones estn vigentes.Con mucha sorpresa recibo esta informacin ya que todas las veces anteriores me indicaron que la compra en pesos haba sido cancelada y es por ello que hice la segunda compra.Le indico que anule la operacin en pesos y me dice que ya caduc lo que otorga (reembolso) Open English para la eliminacin (7 dias).Le indico que anule la operacin en dlares y me dice lo mismo a pesar que dependiendo de dnde se tome pueden haber transcurrido 7 das u 8 das (4 ******** a 11 ********). Literalmente 11-4 resulta 7, pero la persona cuenta 8 das.Por lo tanto ahora tengo 2 compras vigentes por informacin desvirtuada de Open English.La primera compra se hizo con el mail ***************** y la segunda con mail ******************* Me cambi de mail por peticin expresa del vendedor *********************************** su infinita ayuda para que Open English elimine la compra en pesos

      ******** against the Company OPEN EDUCATION LLC (referred to the "Company"), the
      Company respectfully answers the complaint of the student as follows:

      At Open English high levels of customer satisfaction are one of our main objectives. Therefore, we
      take very seriously any claim or negative feedback from our students.

      ******************** made two purchases, one on February 29, 2024, and another on March 4, 2024.
      However, he is requesting the cancellation and the reimbursement of the first purchase for a total
      value of CLP 436,748.00.

      Due to a system error, the first license did not work. Therefore, the company has granted Mr.
      *********** request to cancel the license acquired on February 29, 2024, and issue a refund of
      CLP 436,748.00.

      To proceed with the refund, we require the consumer's account details. We attempted to contact
      the consumer by phone to verify the account details for the refund, but have been unsuccessful.

      For this reason, we kindly request that you provide us with additional information. It would be helpful
      to confirm and obtain the following details:

      1. Please provide the account number where the consumer would like the
      reimbursement to be sent.
      2. If the account is a credit card, please provide the first six and last four digits of the
      card, along with its expiration date.

      ******************** may send his response to ******************************* and please indicate in the subject
      line: BBB Claim # ********.

      With this information, we will be able to proceed with the refund to the account provided by the
      consumer.

      First of all, I very sincerely wish you your help.

      I think what you they do is invaluable to consumers.

      Regarding what the OPEN EDUCATION LLC Company requests, I would like to inform you that they proceed with the refund to the same card on which they collected the $436,748.

      That is, they proceed to cancel the collection transaction.

      In any case, the first six digits of the card are ****** and the last four digits are 6025. The expiration date is 01/29.

      Finally, I reiterate my thanks.

      Found a Charge on my ***** Fargo Charge card for $401.25 I believe it was made by a woman whom I have dating and keep asking me for money. Her name is ***************************** as far as I know. When I called the business I discovered that they only speak Spanish and could not help me. I dont have any way of canceling the charge because I cant communicate with them. ******************* cut off communication with me because I wont give her any money.

      On Jan 18th a charge was made to my card. I called the credit card company to dispute it. I then tried to call this company "Open English". None of the extensions work to their operator, customer service or executive team. They call it their "global headquarters". The charge is fraudulent and was set up to be recurring. No way to reach anyone to notify them. The way the phone tree is set up and the extensions not working screams of a scam.

      complaint in which he requests to know about the charges made for the service.

      In the complaint filed, ************ indicates that a charge has been made to his credit card that he
      did not agree to. According to the data provided in the claim, name and email, the Company
      performed a search in its database without being able to find the student's record.
      On January 30, 2023, we contacted the telephone number that ************ registered in the claim,
      but he did not answer our call.
      Dear BBB, we request that you provide us with more information about the customer in order to
      identify it in our database. It would be helpful to obtain the following information:

      I am rejecting this response because:

      There was no mention about the inability to contact anyone at their offices.  No mention of their extensions not working.  I also received no message from this business so if they did call my number they did not leave a message in an attempt for me to call them back. The only odd call I received was on 01/30/2023 from someone speaking Spanish.  I tried to let them know I spoke English but they kept talking in Spanish so I hung up.  If this was your business then please have someone call who speaks English.

      As noted before I have disputed the charge with my credit card company as I have never done business with Open English.

      The Open English platform is not the problem, the problem is their tricky and rip off system they set up for the billing structure, I paid for a full year upfront, 11 months after I received a call to RENEW for a NEW YEAR, I clearly state, I didn't have time for this service to cancel everything that I want don't a renewal what so ever, a month after on My credit card I received a charge for $32.10. I spent around 90 min over the phone trying to get my money back multiple individuals say that canceled my account, I called my credit card to open dispute, they recommend to call the company to get a confirmation of the cancelation, and guess what no one canceled the service, after 30 more minutes listing to endless scripts the service was canceled. It is incredible that there is not record of the communication when I requested, the cancelation it super convenience for this company not to keep record of it, it is seems this is a common practice for this company charge you more, and never cancel services , after reviewing multiple platforms it is a trend from them, it so sad I found to late, I want my $32.10 back. AND stop this practice of billing people this way. with hidden fees.

      complaint filed by ******************************* against OPEN EDUCATION LLC
      (the "Company" or Open English), the Company respectfully answers the complaint of
      Automatic Renewal charge as follows:


      At Open English high customer satisfaction is one of our main goals. Therefore, we take
      very seriously any claim or negative feedback from our students.


      The customer requested the cancellation of the Service and the reimbursement of the
      charge made by the automatic renewal. The background of this case is as follows:


      1. On October 15, 2021, the student ******************************* bought an Open English course
      (hereinafter the Course), with a 12 months term, for a value of USD$ 385.20.
      2. When the Company entered into the commercial agreement with the customer, the
      Company sent a document called Terms and Conditions of the Contract (hereinafter
      the Contract), which contains the commercial conditions of the acquired services,
      including the following information: the identification of the parties, the date of
      commencement of the contract, duration of the course, payment form, refunds,
      termination of the contract, automatic renewal and terms of service, among others, to
      which both parties adhered to at the time the services were contracted.
      3. As soon as the Company was informed of the claim by the BBB, the Company
      proceeded to verify the customer s complaint, who requested the reimbursement of a
      fee charged during the automatic renewal period, for USD$32.10. In view of this, it was
      found that the student did not use her platform during the automatic renewal period.
      4. Considering that the student did not use the service during the automatic renewal
      period, the company has proceeded to reimburse the amount of USD$32,10
      corresponding to October 2022 (Exhibit No. 1). Finally, we also inform that the course
      is currently cancelled and that no more charges will be generated for it.

      As you are likely aware, and as with any business such as of Open Education LLC the best
      marketing and publicity is positive word of mouth from satisfied customers. Given this it is
      the Companys principal purpose to retain ************************************ as a satisfied customer and
      hope to serve her again in the future.

      In March 18th, 2022 I contact Open Education for an English course, I made my first payment and I was transferred to another line where they told me I have to pay more for personalized education and that it was required, this happened after I made my initial payment and now they want me to make more payments, this was not in the original agreement so I called them within the first 7 days to ask for a return and all agents were very rude and I felt pressured and harassments. They were not cooperative and up to todays day I have not received my money back. Another think that happened after I made my first payment I was not inform that there were going to be monthly auto renewal payments and sine they have my banking information I told them I was never inform about a monthly payment neither I agreed to it.I believe this is false advertisement and customer harassments.
