I bought a painting, and the place I bought it from, Cutler Bay, arranged for *** Store #**** to pack and ship the item. In transit the painting was damaged and the frame was badly damaged. Cutler Bay helped facilitate the escalation with ***, but then I was told that the claim was denied because the shipper denied that the box I provided for evaluation was the same one it was shipped in. This is untrue. The box was the original with the original shipping label. They told me to contact *** who will not talk to me. They will only talk to the shipper. Since the shipper denied that the box was original I am caught between the two entities with no resolution.Business response

My issue with the store is that I have not received proper reimbursement for repairs.
Cutler Bay shipped my painting with *** #****. The painting cost over $3500. In shipment the painting and frame were damaged. I took the painting to *** for evaluation. Estimates to repair the painting and frame were not requested. I would like to submit repair estimates for the frame and painting and be properly reimbursed.I have attached a copy of the invoice so you have an understanding of the total cost of the painting. I have also attached a copy of the reimbursement that was sent to Cutler Bay, so you can see it is not sufficient.Thank you,Business response

Hello, this quoting from *** was deemed by *** who was the insurer of the shipment. This piece has been analyzed by *** and denied. We have nothing to do with the payout for this shipment as *** says that it has been manipulated and they can not give any insurance money for it. Please let us know what steps to take.Customer response

I previously provided a copy of the receipt that *** paid Cutler Bay Auctions for reimbursement of the shipping. Per *** they did not deny the claim.
