At the beginning of May 2024, I signed a contract for $1,800 with a company dedicated to teaching the English language (online) called FyrLois, based in *******, ***. After signing the contract and paying in advance, they allowed me to participate in a class. Immediately after that first class, I expressed my dissatisfaction with the course and asked for a refund.In negotiations, they insisted on giving me other opportunities to continue participating in the course. I accepted without being satisfied and explained the reasons for my dissatisfaction, which I will quote below:My expectations were that the teachers at FyrLois would be native English speakers, living in *****************, with experience in the local culture, and with recognized certifications. However, from the first class, I could see that most of the teachers are Venezuelans, living and working remotely from *********. Although the teachers seem to have knowledge of the English language, I am unaware of their credentials, and I must highlight that their pronunciation is not the best, as they are not native speakers. Additionally, in some cases, I have observed that they are unfamiliar with aspects of the local culture. Considering this, I reflected on the course and concluded that FyrLois was not what I needed to improve my current level of English, so I decided to look for other options (Preply) where I found what I was looking for without having to sign contracts, with a better technological platform and more reasonable prices.I must clarify that I am currently still attending the classes (against my will) to avoid losing the money I invested, although I continue to insist on canceling the course and getting my money back. To date, FyrLois has not offered a favorable response to my request; in fact, they have ignored my messages for several days.Initial Complaint

I purchased for my wife an English course on January 14th, 2022, that includes 2 levels with the total amount of $760 USD charged to my **************** card successfully. The business committed to deliver 2 levels of English courses, one has been already taken by my wife. Today my wife was supposed to start the next level and unfortunately FYR LOIS ************* Director has been harassing us, claiming that their payment platform failed and they said that they refunded the full amount to my **************** card and that I need to do the payment again in order to have access to the next leve. Obviously, there is no refund on my records and I tried to conciliate this conversation and I already contacted **************** and they don't have any refund in place for this company and on my statements there is no refund since January of 2022. They were also claiming that we owe that amount (attached some screenshots)They are bothering us with this situation about their "payment platform issues" and they are not giving to my wife the opportunity to take the next level of English class, I don't want to continue with this type of companies that are looking to rip off and I want my refund from them of the next pending level that is $380 USD.
