The overall packing, loading, unloading experience was a nightmare. The moving company didn't bring the right vehicle to load initially. The packers were not there and took hours to come. The truck driver didn't bring the required packing material the first day. Second-day packers came but they were not communicated properly about packing but only moving. The truck driver then brought the bigger truck. The helpers started packing and had to be supervised throughout and did a horrible job packing. I was overcharged for their incompetencies. Packers broke multiple items and damaged the packaging boxes as they loaded everything in the truck. When the truck reached its destination, moving companies miscommunicated with the truck driver on unloading which created a lot of stress. I had to work with the truck driver to unload most of my stuff. The next day moving companies arrange more helpers who were then very efficient and helpful and quick to get the job done. Overall it was a mentally and physically tiring and challenging experience. I need compensation for all the emotional and physical distress plus the damage of items. I even filed a claim on all the damaged items and still waiting on a refund. They also go by the name of ****************************** LLC "Initial Complaint

This is an interstate moving FRAUD complaint about against FIVE STAR PROFESSIONAL MOVERS who is an illegal carrier and DOES NOT have an USDOT license and DOES NOT have an U.S. DOT number. Per FMSCA, a federal transportation agency, Interstate movers must be registered with the Federal government and have a U.S. DOT number. On Oct 3rd 2021, FIVE STAR PROFESSIONAL MOVERS loaded their rented PENSKE truck with all my household goods and personal belongings. Five months have passed and I never seem my things again. The broker (Capital City Moving LLC) provided the original agreement for $3,136.40, with a $1,250 down payment and two installments of $961.70, at pickup and delivery. There was no mention of any cubic feet charges. The original agreement also included a 10x10 storage 70% full, but that second location was never picked up. The truck driver later said the cubic feet exceed the original estimate by a huge difference $6,000. For the next two weeks I received several calls from the driver and from the alleged company owner. I have been asked for over $6,000 in order to have my stuff delivered. I have been threatened and extorted to wire the money by Zelle, or else I would never see my things again. The company owner and driver kept changing the ransom value. I reluctantly agreed to pay cash. On Oct 5th, the truck arrived at my Florida address. The driver asked for $4,500 to unload the truck. After a heated argument, the driver pulled a knife and threatened to kill me. I called the police and a report was filed. The driver left without unloading the truck. Driver and owner kept calling frequently, harassing me, and changing his demands. They no longer wanted cash and asked for a wire transfer instead. I refused to do a wire transfer before seeing my stuff. On Oct 17th, the driver returned to my address. It was a Sunday and I wasn’t able to withdraw the $3,000 ransom amount requested.
