      I have built and it has not been easy. For example, had to give the deposit in May of 2022 but the home was not started until Sept of 2022 and that was never communicated. As I lived many states away it wasn't something I could watch the progress of. And that was the beginning of feeling insignificant. Most recently in my maintenance free home, it floods at my front door. But have been told that the pavers are level and there is nothing I could do, but maybe gutters could help. I wanted gutters so I decided to spend more money on my maintenance free home and have gutters installed. The "level" pavers at my front door don't flood as often but there is flooding in other areas. After reaching out with many emails about the issue and being completely ignored, i figured I should reach out here to let others know. I'm not a difficult person and usually keep to my self. I try figure things out on my own first so Its the complete lack of professionalism that bothers me. All I was looking for is no more than 10 minutes of anyone's time but apparently now that the home is done, they have moved on. Maybe I should label this, "you move in and we move on". C.R.

      We are in the process of building a house and wish we could back out. They over promise and under deliver. The contracts you sign contradict each other (i.e. 290 days to complete a build vs. 24 months!). People don't answer the phones or call you back once you complete your Planning & Design process. I've heard so many horror stories of wrong items installed (lights, tile, countertops) and the response is basically you have to live with it. Rather than limit the number of builds to a manageable number, they are working on too many homes to provide quality workmanship on any one home. I know people still trying to get items fixed 5 months after they moved in. There is no transparency in their business model/project management. Our construction loan company has been trying to get an anticipated completion date for 5 months now and they won't give it. My advice....find a place with a builder who cares about customer satisfaction. This group doesn't give a darn about doing the right thing for the customer.

      Citrus Hills Golf and Country Club is a great area to live in. However, the club is a for profit business and dues can raise to any level without input from the community. In my opinion, the restaurants are poorly managed. Only one out of three of the golf courses get the attention needed to keep them in pristine condition. Their is no input from residents as to their desires or needs. The developer, who also is the owner of the club, installs facilities as he deems necessary to attract new clients placing the cost burden on the current members. Memberships are normally tied to your deed so you may not drop your membership for any reason.
