The Car was towed to Marka Auto Repair in the beginning of March for repair. After explaining the issue that I was having the Mechanic **** advise me that he can repair the vehicle and to have it towed to his shop. After about 2 weeks he called and told me that the car needs a new computer to repair the problem and it would cost me $1699 and the car also has 2 oil leaks which I advised him that he can repair the small one which is the valve cover gasket which he charged me an additional $300. I did not get the car back until 04/04/23 which I paid my full balance owed. I drove the car off the lot and realize that the car is still not driving properly. It was not idling correctly and it seems to have a burning smell when I'm driving. I took it back and he says it's not the computer it the throttle body, he kept the car for an additional 2 weeks only to tell me he cannot program the throttle body. I had to pick up the car while it still not driving correctly. I then took the car to Prestige who is not telling me that the car is no longer worth fixing because it is showing to many codes. Prestige did not charge me for a diagnostic. I also called Audi who told me that the computer should have been the last part to change so they would need to put the old computer back in order to diagnose the issue Audi diagnostic fee $390. Audi also advise that because Marka did not put a new computer in the car as they had charge me for and program it to the car is one of the reason the car is not driving properly. They replace my computer with an old computer which is picking up code from the previous car, also that old computer may not be from the same type of Audi.I went to speak with **** on Monday May 15th, 2023 to advise him that I have more than one mechanic advising me that the computer is the problem and it needs to be replaced or program correctly and he flat out said No he will not replace even though the part has a warranty and his work has a warranty.

To whom is my concern :

Ms. *********; passed the shop to talk about a car that was in a shop already she told me the car had been there for a long time and needed help after our talk she had the car towed to  ( Marka auto repair )

after receiving the 2012 Audi Q7 and doing the inspection we found burnt and broken wires ( engine harness ) and no communication with engine control module after further investigation we found the control module was burnt inside ( we opened it showing affected area ) customer  seen it and has the bad control module. That his time I called ************ and advised her of what was needed to get the car running

      1.  repair the brunt and broken wires ( engine side top left )

      2, used engine control module

      3. programing of module

The following was done find and fix bad wiring 5.5 hours @  $650.00 used control module $575.00( with matching ID numbers ) and programing of used ECU $325.00 at this customer advised to bring any other key to the shop so it too would be programed as well if not that other key would not work .***********  didn't find the other key Ms.*********;asked if this was going to fix all the issues the car had I replied  NO I couldn't answer until the car was running  and *********** also wanted to know about the oil leak I told her not until the car was running.

After work was done and car was running we found a major oil leak coming from the valve cover gasket but that was not the only oil leak the car had like rear main crank seal was also and possible more leaks she only wanted to do the valve covers only that this time that work was done

      1. valve cover gasket kit $48.00

      2. labor 2.1 $252.00

      for a total of $300.00

We advised that the car needed  other work done at this time Ms. **********;didn't want to do any more work !!!  a few day after she paid and took the car .

************ came back a few weeks after  telling me that the control module was bad and needed one under warranty I told her I needed info of why the module was bad so I could pass that info to seller of the module was going to ask me then she asked why it was used !!! I told her she was advised it was used I even showed her the coast of a new one ( dealer only part # 4l0910551j was $1914.23 and that was only the module she paid $575.00 for used one .

*********** also wanted to know if the profromance tune was in the engine control module I told her no that was lost in the old unit car had other modification done exhaust and cold air intake customer also told me her son had installed piggyback sensor on the pedal as well I advised her not do that stuff that Audi were delicate cars and  didn't react well those type of alterations we also talked about code that had popped up and *********** that was from the donor car ( ecu came from ) incorrect once ecu is progreamed and cleared the code are only from her car tha passed is fully erased MsEsty also was telling me that the control module doesn't need programing wrong IT MUST BE PROGARMED !!!! and all key must be present the control module reads the key therefore allowing the engine to runs .

That the end of day we did what I told I was going to do that was to get it running and at that time would see what other work was needed *********** didn't want to pay for anymore repairs she was under the impression that we were going to fix all the issues just because we changed the engine control I told her no from day one NO ! especially the oil leaks

      thank you
