Have been purchasing pet food from them since March 23 and have recommended them to other- not my puppy is sick apparently from a bad lot?. I want a refund in full and no one will respond. Purchased 11/17/23 order # *******cost plus s/h $34.58 My puppy is so sick she will not eat anything now and I am going to take her to the vet I want a refund!! A response and refund was issued on the 12/29/23. Here is the response that was sent to the customer:

We are so sorry to hear that your puppy has been experiencing GI problems. Having a sick, uncomfortable dog can be distressing and were glad that you contacted us. We take great pride in providing an array of superior quality, safe and effective products for both people and pets and are glad you contacted us.
Outside of the **** symptoms that can sometimes come with a change in diet, any form of illness is by no means a normal occurrence resulting from regular feeding conditions. As part of our Quality Control Program, we keep samples of every batch of food for over a year past the best-fed-by date, giving us the opportunity to examine the same food that a consumer has at home should a concern arise. Each variety of our food is produced in frequent batches, each of which is tested prior to leaving the manufacturer. Any issues (through lab analysis or consumer feedback) would be consistent throughout a batch, and not isolated to any one particular bag. We log and analyze all customer complaints and can assure you that we have no indication of any issues with this batch.
All of our pet foods are formulated to not only meet but exceed the nutritional requirements set by AAFCO. We utilize a team of consultants-all experts in animal nutrition, formulation, and pet food regulations to help ensure we're providing the best possible product. Not all pet food companies always take the time and, more importantly, the resources to ensure that all the ingredients in their food benefit the pet they are feeding.
We are glad to hear you are discussing this with ************************. As they probably explained, the causes of gastrointestinal issues can be difficult to pinpoint, as there are so many potential factors at play. These factors include treats, supplements, and other edibles, environmental causes, viruses, parasites, excessive stress, age, overfeeding, or any number of medical conditions. As you seek understanding, if you or your veterinarian require any additional information about our foods, we are standing by to provide the answers.
Regardless of the reasoning for this, we completely understand your concern and value the time you took to reach out to us. As such, ************* has issued you a refund for the 8 lb. bag of All Life Stage Dog Food. This refund will go back to the original method of purchase and, depending on your bank, can take between three to five business days.
We wish you and your dog well and hope that with your veterinarians help, they will be feeling better soon.

My dog refuses to eat this food unless starving. I thought he was just having some weird eating behaviors, so I tried other brands and did not have the same problem. I thought it was just my dog, so I gave this food to another dog and he also refused to eat it. My dog loves to eat and regularly eats ****, how bad can this food possibly taste? I am concerned for poisoning and the lack of care shown by their customer support team. I asked to receive a refund and they suggested I would have to pay $$$ to ship the food back.Business response

We are sorry to hear anytime a dog doesnt love their food. Were usually able to win over even the pickiest of pups. Though at the time of this customers call to **, we understood the primary complaint to be that the dog simply didnt like the food, we take all complaints seriously and offered to log an Adverse Event report, which would set off an internal investigation. Our offer to investigate, and an offer of a refund with the products return (per our return policy) were both refused. Nonetheless, we took the step of investigating the lot of dog food as a whole and discovered that, though nearly all of the food from this batch has already made its way into homes, no other complaints have been made. This step is part of our extensive quality control, which starts before each product is made and extends beyond the shelf life. Were confident in the quality and safety of our product, and regret that this customer was not fully satisfied with the resolution.
