  March 17th 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.Birthday party at skate world in Lakeland ******* Paid $600 for a party Did not get services promised included with the party. The staff did not engage with my party guest they did not play games they did not do anything that was promised with the party package. Owner and employee refuses to correct the situation. I asked for partial refund. Was offered coupons.

  Thank you for reaching out to us to hear our side of the story. This is the first time our business has ever been reported to the BBB.  On March 17th from 11am-1pm we had a private birthday party scheduled for 3 birthday children. They are allowed up to 40 people with that package, but she had less than 20 people total including kids and adults.  We allowed the party to come in early to bring in their cupcakes, table cloth, chips and some other small items.  While they were here we gave them the three pitchers from our fountain machine that they chose, a bucket of ice and cups. We played an assortment of music because they didnt give us a specific playlist and also played games like limbo and red light, green light with the **********************rs. In addition, we had a light show on our skating rink floor featuring colored lights, black lights, moving lights and our nostalgic disco *****.  Our facility was just recently remodeled, so everything is newly painted, extremely clean and is a super fun ***********.  Even though their party technically ended at 1pm we also allowed them to stay and ********************** until 115pm and because she wasnt happy with her party, we offered a 15% discount that day.   We have been in business since 1973 at our current location.  We host birthday parties every weekend, have open public skating almost daily, offer Christian ********************** nights and host STEM field trips with surrounding schools.  We pride ourselves on giving the best customer service while creating memorable experiences for all ages by providing a safe, clean and fun Christian *********** for families and friends to enjoy. Skate World believed the situation had been resolved after the owner spoke with ******* and she was given the full compensation she requested.   We apologized for not meeting her expectations.  We take pride in hiring young people and we continuously train them in customer service, and everyone realizes we are human and we all make mistakes, but God gives us ******
