  August 24, 2021 Contract for $12,000 and $2,700.00. Total $14,700. See attached photos. Purpose of job was to prevent future flooding. Clear and remove trees, dig retention pond, spread dirt and clear land. Also, at north end of lot, approximately 2 acres, mulch, clear and haul trees and debris. Major grading job to prevent us from flooding again. Knafel worked for approximately 5 days and then didn't return although I called him multiple times and multiple times he said he would come back and still hasn't to date. We now don't have money to hire someone else to finish the job. We hired him because we needed help with our flooding. We will flood again if job is not completed. Please help us.

    I am replying to a complaint from ******** ********, If you see attached pictures of it was flooded in Aug. We rented a 5In trash pump that took a week to pump out. Ground had to dry. Knafel Enterprises  went back and took approximately 45 trees hauled away twelve loads of debris in a 21cu.yd dump trailer. also dug a retention pond bigger and deeper so her yard would not flood.  We also talked to county workers to see if they could put a culvert which would help stop flooding in her yard. only for her to start cussing them out. I spoke to *** *********, County Commissioner. He went out after we had lots of rain and said What Knafel Enterprises did seems to be working. He did not foresee it flooding. He said if it did he would put a culvert. We went several times. to check waiting for the ground to dry. So Knafel Enterprise goes over to make sure ground is dry Georgina would not come outside they went to go get equipment to grade property out and she called cursing and screaming at ***** than called me saying don't go back to property also she made a post saying we stole her money which i should of snapped But I did snap other comments she posted on Facebook. pictures attached saying leave her alone and don't come back to her property then We received this complaint. we were more than willing to finish grading , she stopped the job.   I am rejecting this response because:  

  Knaffel's response is filled with untruths.  I have filed a Small Claims case against him for Breach of Contract and emotional distress.  Knaffel DID NOT finish our job.   We hired him in August this is December.  I called him and spoke to him SEVERAL times and every time he said he would come and work.  He never did.  I finally gave up after he and his wife both were screaming and yelling at me and worse, lying.  I finally told them not to come back.   I don't want people like them in my home or on my property.  All my neighbors saw me outside In August pumping our yard.  I bought a $600 pump and pumped it for at least a week.  The pump he used was to pump down the pond on our property which he would never have been able to bring any equipment in without the yard being dry.  That is an out and out lie on his part.  All my neighbors saw me out there in 90 degree weather, walking up and down the street making sure no one's yard started to flood.  The pump pumped 250 gallons per minute for at least seven days.  He did do work but not what he is claiming.  He certainly did not remove 45 trees from our lot.  That's ridiculous at best.  I attached pictures of our flooded yard, yes.   But I also attached pictures of the MESS he left in our yard and the UNFINISHED work.  The congressman never spoke to me at my property.  At best he did a drive by.   The county said that if what Knafel did doesn't work they will CONSIDER doing something here.  Of which to date they've done absolutely nothing.  The county has been here and I did not cuss at them.  That is a lie.  I was upset as my property was underwater and will flood again when we start getting rains again in spring and summer next year.   We have not had the kind of rain we had this past August since then.  We will flood again I promise you.  He has NOT resolved our problem nor has he finished the job.  The mental distress he's put us under is terrible.  He got his money, didn't finish the job and now we are still left with a property that will flood and no way to hire someone else.  SHAME on him.  I will see him in Small Claims court.  I DO NOT want him here.  Thank you.
