Monday, February 19, I went to have my hair colored. ******* told me it would be $82 not $70. She gave me a paper to sign. Not once did she tell me that I was being charged $12 for toner. No toner was placed on my hair. I would like the $12 back as well as at least $2 of the tip money.Business response

The client has already been told via her ****** review that was told an estimate of $82 (the sum of $70 color and $12 toner). She agreed to this by signing the chemical color release. Her hair needed both color and toner. She received both color and toner during her service. She seems to think she didn't receive the toner, but she did. We communicated clearly to the client but she is mistaken as to the facts. We wish her the best in finding a more suitable hair salon for her needs.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I never was informed my hair needed toner. ******* is lying about this. I would have remembered that conversation. Also, I could not afford this luxury especially when I am using Dollar Tree shampoo on my hair. Therefore, I am adamant I was not told toner was going to be used.Because I filed a complaint here and ****** requesting a partial refund the owner told me not to come back to her salon. Wasn't planning on that. Being that the owner told me via email that she does not like me letting customers think they committed fraud or "lied" and she is not refunding my money, I am not deleting any of my reviews. Any salon that requires customers to sign a paper agreeing to services provided apparently has a customer service problem.

We have guests sign a chemical release form indicating they understand the risks involved with such chemicals. There is also a price quote on this form so there are no surprises at check out. This is standard practice.
The stylist did not lie or intentionally mislead. She gave a total price estimate that included a $12 toner which the stylist deemed necessary for the professional results the client wanted. It was not specifically discussed along with no specific discussion of any of the components of the service- brushing, shampooing, drying. It was an agreed upon quote for a complete service.
The client seems to have assumed the price quoted was some type of absolute lowest available & feels she was misled and or didn't receive the treatment she paid for.
We understand she misunderstood the transaction, but to publicly imply fraud, ill intent or upcharge without performing the service is unreasonable & unappreciated. We stand by wishing her the best in finding a salon that better serves her needs.
