I signed up for the Freedom Mentor course on 10/20/2023. After looking at the information and the management intensive issues, I have decided real estate is not for me. I do not desire to be part of that field, for the time being. I have texted them on 12/25/2023 1:20 p.m. for a refund, and to leave without issue, and I have called around 1:30 p.m. This should have been a customer service issue without question. In fact, would like to have this money returned to my credit card immediately.Business response

******************** called us on 10/25/23 to request a refund of his purchase of the $997 introductory program which included Course Materials that had been mailed to him. In the terms and conditions of his purchase, it included the following language,
"...Customer may cancel its purchase at any time prior to midnight of the third (3rd) calendar day from the date it received the Course Materials in the mail. Customer must send a Cancellation Request by email to ****************************************** If Customer's Cancellation Request is received by ******* prior to midnight of the third (3rd) calendar day after it received the Course Materials in the mail, in order to receive a full refund, the Course Materials that were shipped to Customer must be returned in the exact same condition as they arrived to the Customer. The Course Materials must be mailed back to the same address to which the package was mailed from on the original shipping label on the box. In the event the Course Materials do not return in the exact same condition as they arrived to the ********* ******* reserves the right to charge a 20% restocking fee..."
Therefore, we explained to ******************** on 10/25/23 that in order to avoid the 20% restocking fee, he needed to mail back the Course Materials to us. He didn't like hearing that and posted this complaint.
We have confirmed today, 10/31/23, that the Course Materials have been successfully received and we are initiating a full $997 refund right now.

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I did not receive any information about a 20% restocking fee. As such, this is a lie.
