      I called on this company to deliver a scissor lift because the electric company I was using said they would need one to complete the task they were hired to do. I prepaid for the lift ($689.36) with my AMX card. On the day the lift was to be delivered the electricians told me I could cancel the lift because they did not need it. I in turn did call and cancel it. Fifteen minutes later the electricians ask if there was any way to get the lift back. I called and they said I would have to wait until Friday afternoon. The rep from Sunbelt asked if I wanted to reserve it, I told him, they could hold it but also told him the electricians were going to try and do the job without the lift. On Friday morning, the electricians completed the job. Later that day Sunbelt called me asking if I needed the lift and I told them that it was not needed, the electricians completed the job with out it. I never received any paperwork to sign. Statement on the charges, I had to call and ask about it for they did not refund me completely after I cancelled the lift. Now, I did expect some small fee for cancelling the lift in the first place but not what they charged me. They never delivered nor picked up the lift, it was cancelled before they arrived. You will see on the receipt (high-lighted) the charges. They charged me ($414.75) for the delivery, the pick up and the surcharge that really never took place. This is ridiculous charge for not even providing any of the service. Even in my own business if a customer cancels before delivery there is no charge but after it had been delivered it is a 25% fee. This is a case of them taking advantage of people good earned money and refunding whatever they want regardless of what they had to provided in services. Like I said I will be willing to pay a fee for cancelling, which 25% ($172.34) is more than what is deserved with no services rendered. This means I am looking for the additional $246.94 refunded back to my AMX card.

       This gentleman cancelled this order twice costing Sunbelt Rentals lost revenue not only on the equipment (highly utilized and could have rented to another customer ) but also the trucking costs. The cancellations took place after our truck had been loaded and in route two separate times.  We did not charge for the first cancellation in good faith.  When the second order was cancelled we did indeed bill for the transportation costs.
