New roof due to damage after hurricane *** April 2023 Our new roof is leaking due to poor craftsmanship and the roof vents being installed improperly and not sealed. This is the second leak we have had. I reached out to the salesman ******************* who stated it was due to straight line winds from the storm until he saw the 1/2 inch gap between my roof and vent with no sealing. He stated he could not get anyone out for 3 weeks. After having an inspection on the roof, Ive been told our roof has been double screwed in the wrong channel on our metal roof which could cause us leaks. When I asked *** about this, he stated thats what the inspector of ********* told ** to do we have had nothing but issues with this roof and we paid 30,000$. My ceiling is ruined in my bathroom due to the leak and now needs repair. I want my roof repaired properly and timely. I expect to be reimbursed to fix my bathroom ceiling.

My name is ***** and I'm the owner of Guardian Roofing. We were aware of the incorrect installation of the gooseneck vents the first time she had an issue, and I personally went there to see first hand and inspect. I did agree they needed correcting and had my ******* correct the installation error within a couple of days. I was unaware of the second leak until 2 days ago - and that's our fault due to lack of communication. I have to apologize. We did however send someone a day after finding out (9/26/23) and after water testing, it was not incorrect sealing, open gaps under the vent, or incorrect s**** patterns. It was a manufacturer's defect in the vent itself and was causing the water intrusion. We showed the owner pictures and then repaired the vent.
