      Florida Express Environmental charged us June 2021 $145 for trash can XX XXXXXXX and $95 for recycling bin XX XXXXXXX. January 2021 they are providing the same type trash and recycle bins free and telling us we can recycle the trash and recycle bins we purchased. We want a refund of the total $240.

      Business Response /* (1000, 19, 2022/02/24) */ We received this complaint on 02/22/22 & responded to the customer that same day. I explained to Mr. & Mrs. ******** that when they purchased our containers in June 2021, that we had no idea AT THAT TIME that the HOA would contract with us in November 2021 to provide service & carts to the whole community, where the carts would be at no charge, however, they are the property of Florida Express and not the homeowner. In this case the ********'s own their larger carts. We came up with a compromise where they can continue using their older carts, we picked up the new smaller carts, and gave them a courtesy credit of $95.00. I spoke with Mrs. ******** this morning and she was very happy with the outcome. We take our customer's complaints very seriously and aim to resolve all issues in a timely manner. Consumer Response /* (2000, 21, 2022/03/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) BBB contacted the business about this complaint XXXXXX, XXXXXX, XXXXXX, and XXXXXX. Business did not respond to our direct complaints prior to XXXXXX. We were never informed in June of 2021 that we had other options than buying carts or that we would then own them. I never said I am happy. We only agreed to compromise. The business picked up the new smaller trash cart and the old smaller recycle cart. As of XXXXXX we have not received a courtesy credit, which we believe is a check in the mail.
