On March 15, 2022, we paid C******* Landscaping $37,124.05. We are not wealthy but we wanted a beautiful yard with low maintenance. We paid over $8,000 in lighting alone. My husband and I were promised several things. 1. At the time of installation Cole C******* would pay follow-up visit to see that the lighting was working. We asked for a brighter spotlight on the trees. He indicated that this could be arranged (we assumed for an extra charge). 2. At the time Cole C******* would come back and check on our lone Sylvester palm (for which we paid $3,000) including trimming (no discussion of a charge). 3. When we hadn't heard after installation, we wrote May 17, 18, 22, and 24 with no response. On June 13, he did write and said "I'll get with you as soon as I can, just like I did with you and your wife." NOTE: This has never happened. 4. No more response until April 5, 2023, in response to a final request 4.5.23. His reply was "please find another contractor. We are not interested in doing any further work for you with all due respect." When we mentioned the fact that most our landscape lights were no longer working, he said, "contact the manufacturer." We received cordial treatment at the beginning. Contrast that with the very last statements above. We have not seen him or any of his team after installation and after he received nearly $40,000. In summary 1. The lack of follow-up is disappointing enough but the attitude as expressed above is a poor reflection of a quality business. 2. We discovered the lighting wire are on the surface (we have photos). They should have been buried. 3. The yard is NOT low maintenance. We agreed up front a maximum of 3 hours per week in upkeep. There was no weed barrier in a good portion of the beds installed. We have had to hire someone who has spent more than 60 hours (at $20/hr) to keep up our yard excluding our regular lawn service. We want there to be a happy ending to this. Thank you.
