A-1 has been pumping my Septic tank many times in recent years. The last time they pumped was 8/28/2022. A couple of weeks later, tenant complained about toilet backing up again. ****** septic was called in to investigate. They found the inlet tank full of solids. Looks like it has not been pumped out for many years. It is quite obvious that A-1 didn't pump and remove solids from the inlet tank for many years. I am requesting A-1 Septic refund the last charge.

Sir *** tank was pumped out and you complained 2 months later saying a month later the tank was backing up. But the invoice clearly states that you have a bad drain field. I told you to contact my Tech *** so he can educate you. You are going to keep having to pump the tank monthly until you fix it. He is trying to defraud the system and get refunds back from last year. BBB please close this case. Thank You

A1 Septic has done quite damage to our property. The severed and interrupted the irrigation water line without notifying the owner. They did not flag neither capped the irrigation lines for future restoration. A1 septic left sand and gravel beyond where the project took place without cleaning, whole mess. They send a staff to spent 45 minutes to clean a few gravel in a small area to say later that he was already physically tired to continue, never came back. A1 damaged carelessly the driveway pavers beyond repair, this could have been avoided or at least minimize.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/22) */ A1 Septic Service has maintained a high level of courteous, on-time, professional service to our friends in Orange and Seminole Counties for 3 generations! A1 Is a family owned business that has served thousands of residential households, commercial businesses, restaurants, and worked with homebuilders providing the highest quality installations, service, and products on the market. We try our hardest to make every customer happy. The customer was upset because of a light scrapes on his driveway. We went back on 3 separate occasions to speak to the customer and look at the damage and to fix any concerns he had to the best of our ability. The shovels are metal and not plastic. The driveway had light scrapes. Which the customer understood. We only had 1 spot to drop the dirt and it was on his driveway. We ask the customer does he prefer it on his driveway or the neighbor's yard. He agreed that we could dump the dirt on the driveway. He was aware that the shovel would scrape a little because we can't use plastic shovels. We went to his property on 3 separate occasions after the job was done and paid for to address any of his issues. The final time we left the customer was satisfied. Thank You Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) A1 septic never notified me neither in writing about where the sand and gravel will be located during the project, I have NEVER agreed to have all this on the pavers driveway, does it make sense to agree to have gravel and sand on pavers? A1 septic did send a staff to clean a small area. This staff, decided to stay for 45 minutes to leave the job incomplete stating, "he was tired" and "solve things with the office" . He only a clean the gravel and not the remaining sand it was left where the project did not take place. Still, A1 septic has failed to address the issue about the irrigation system to where this system has being interrupted if either capped nor at least flagged. Just a sign of professional courtesy. Undisclosing this information, has created and untrustworthy quality about what has being done in the drain-field that is unseen to the naked eye. Up to these day, we have not found where was the irrigation interruption. Help us.

Our home has a septic tank and we realized our septic tank lids was broken. We then contact a septic company A1 septic,They came out and told us our tank was old and it would be wise to redo our tank. It'll save the cost of just replacing lids and install a new tank. We decide to do it because clearly we would assume they know best. We were told by Ashley, their senior employee, that the total was $3950. We gave our deposit over the phone to Ashley with our debit card of $1900 to get put on the schedule. An inspector comes out and states that our whole drain field needs to be replaced a bigger more expensive project needed to be done with an additional cost of $5600, Ashley says our deposit now needs to be bigger to remain on schedule, so we then give her a $2000 additional deposit in cash that she came to my house and picked up since she was around my neighborhood. Ashley and she assured us we would have a date soon and we had given her an additional $4500 in cash. We finally get our date of install 6/9/2022 as per Ashley. From then, we've had multiple excuses as to why this won't be done ( Covid, vacations, short of staff, trucks being down, it's raining, she's got the runs, everything under the sun!) She came on 6/23/2022 ripped up my yard, and pinned our gates opened. Assured me she'll return tomorrow. She doesn't show up, my yard is left open so that my kids and my animals and run straight in the street. I live on *************** all of them would be road kill! Doesn't return at all, i call the company, they had no idea work was being done on my property and they will not fix anything that was done by her. So they're basically leaving our yard like this being that their senior employee came out here and scammed us! This is not safe, this is horrible how we could be taken advantage of this. Was even told by the company that we could've even been involved in the conning. I just want the job done! Please help!

Date of transaction: Nov 26, 2022. Transaction amount: $575.00 I hired this company to do a pre-house purchase inspection for the house in which I am now currently living. The only uncovered one of the access ports of the two chamber septic tank. During their inspection, they backfilled into the septic tank and said that it was not draining adequately and the drain field was only operating at 40-50% capacity. They said I would need a new drain-field at a cost of almost $10,000. After purchasing the home, I reached out to other septic companies to get additional quotes for a drain field repair. Multiple other septic companies said it would be highly unusual for a house as young as mine to already need a septic drain field replacement. I paid one of these other companies to do another inspection. They uncovered both ports of the septic tank, which is standard practice. The simple reason why the tank was training slowly, was that the filter needed to be removed and sprayed off with a garden hose. In short, my house had no need for a replacement drain field and just needed simple maintenance of spraying off the septic tank drain filter. I reached out to A-1 septic to ask why both septic tank ports were not accessed during the inspection and why the filter was not confirmed to be the cause of the slow draining before recommending a $10,000 septic drain field replacement. They replied saying, "we don't look at the filter during the inspection." Other companies I reached out to said they would look at the filter if they noted slow draining of the septic tank during an inspection. I attempted to resolve the issue with A-1 septic, but they refused. I requested a 50% refund in the amount of $287.00 since they did not provide a proper inspection of the septic tank and, I had to pay another company for a 2nd inspection to confirm that that the only problem was the septic tank filter needing to be cleaned.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/03/09) */ A1 Septic take pride in our work and we treat each customer like they are part of our family. The owner just received citizen of the year reward. A1 Septic always does a thorough job. After reviewing his complaint. We found that A1 septic did everything proper. Mr.********** contacted us 5 months after the work was done asking for a refund. Have a good day Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/03/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I disagree with the following response, "After reviewing his complaint. We found that A1 septic did everything proper." As mentioned in my original complaint, A-1 septic did not conduct a full and proper septic tank inspection that I paid for. I had to hire another septic company to perform a proper inspection who identified that my septic system only needed to have the outflow filter cleaned. A-1 septic failed to access both ports of my septic tank, so that the filter could be inspected. Instead, A-1 septic tried to tell me that I needed a new septic drain field that would cost close to $10,000. I also disagree with the following statement, "Mr.********** contacted us 5 months after the work was done asking for a refund." A-1 septic completed their faulty inspection of my septic tank Nov 26, 2021. This was a pre-house purchase inspection. I did not take possession of the house until Dec 30, 2021. I was not able to schedule a proper inspection of my septic tank with another company until Feb 10, 2022. Once I learned from the other septic company that A-1 septic did not conduct a proper inspection of my septic tank, I contacted A-1 septic at 2:26 PM on that same day to address the issue and request a 50% refund. In short, A-1 septic is again being dishonest in their dealings with paying customers. It was not 5 months later that I followed up with them. I followed up with them in a timely manner as outlined above. As anyone reading this can see, I have attempted to resolve this issue with A-1 septic, but they refuse rectify the problem of their creation. I reasonably requested a 50% refund from them after I did not receive services as agreed and for which I paid. Moreover, I performed my due diligence by hiring another septic company at my own expense to confirm that A-1 septic did not do a proper inspection and attempted to sell a service that was not needed. Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/03/15) */ We are sorry it was 3 months after. After extensive investigation we find that A1 Septic did nothing wrong in doing the inspection. Also you state a timely matter. It was not. The way septic works anything can change over night. Could be roots or the previous home owners didn't take care of it when they were going to move out and didn't care about it. Could be thousands of reasons. You just never know with septic. Thank You and have a good day Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2022/03/16) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I don't know how the company expected a faster response to their poor service. This was a pre-purchase inspection. I scheduled another septic company to complete a 2nd inspection as quickly as was feasible after I moved into the house. Moreover, this should not have been something that we were required to do. Had A-1 septic done a proper inspection according to local and industry standards, I would not have been put into the position to pay another septic company for a 2nd inspection. Secondly, their argument that my septic system draining slowly could change overnight is without merit and another attempt by this company to obfuscate and not own up to their dishonest and subpar work. The septic tank was still draining slowly at the time of the 2nd inspection done 2.5 months after the faulty inspection I received from A-1 septic. The septic tank began to drain normally after the filter was removed and hosed off. As mentioned before, this is something that should have been done in the inspection I paid A-1 septic to do. Instead, A-1 septic chose to do an incomplete inspection and attempt to fraudulently sell me an un-needed septic drain-field replacement for $10,000. Anyone reading this can plainly see that A-1 septic is a dishonest company who will not own up to their mistakes and is not deserving of your money. There are other septic companies in this area who are reputable and will deal with you honestly.
