On or about 10 of January I0 called **************** and spoke to "******". I told her I had some laminate flooring I needed repaired. She said I should call the person who installed the flooring. i told her I had lost that contact information. She proceeded to tell me that in order to send someone from their company to assess the job they would need to take ***** from my bank account. She did so over the phone. She said she would send somebody out and gave me the impression that I would be told what needed to be done and given a quote. She said that the fifty dollars would go towards the end of the job. Then a couple of days later a man named *** came by. He spent maybe 5 minutes . He told me that he would send a couple of other guys over when he checked their schedule, He also said he would take pictures of the floor which he did not do. Then he left . He did not assess anything and I feel like the ***** they took from me was a sham and I got nothing for it. He left and said they would be in touch. 11 days later I called them. "******" answered the phone. I said who I was . Right away she said "Nobody called you yet?" I said no. Then I was put on hold for about ten minutes. Then the phone went dead. I called back. Then she proceeded to go on about *** said this and that and none of it made any sense to me and I told her if this was an indication of how they did business I would seek help elsewhere.Business response

On 1/10/24 ************************* called our company stating that he recently bought new floors from another company and had them installed. He was complaining that he was having issues due to the fact that those floors were not properly installed and he needed someone to come evaluate them to repair the mess they left him. He was informed at that time, by our sales staff on the phone, that we charge $50 for a measure/consultation which is non-refundable. However, the $50 would be credited back to him on his invoice if he decided to move forward with any repair or purchase. We did exactly what we said we would do and he has no grounds to demand his money back. Upon entering his home it was explained to ************************** that whomever installed these floors needed to come back and rectify the shotty job they did. In fact, it was so bad that he was told during that consultation , that it would be no easy fix, that his floors needed to be ground down or prepped properly to rectify the problem. We did exactly what we were paid to do, come to his home, evaluate and let him know what our professional opinion is. Not only was he told in his home, but it was reiterated again in the email. ************************** has been very rude to us and he is taking out his frustrations on the wrong company. In fact, we did not sell anything to him, we did not install anything for him and he has never been in our store. We certainly don't deserve this from him. We have been in business over 29 years and have a very good reputation. Once again the internet is used as a bully pulpit. After we read this review this morning, ************************** was called by the store owner to get his credit card number to refund him so there would be no further complications. ************************* responded by hanging up in the owners ear. We will not reach out to him again.
